As a San Franciscan, one's outlook to great beer, better seafood and a great view is skewed on the snooty side. Well, Seattle and in particular Rays has humbled this Bay area native with it's great selection of fresh seafood, nice locally brewed beer selection, downright nice people and lest we forget the view form almost any location in Rays. A warm evening with the golden sun glinting off the Olympics and Shilshoe Bay is unmatched for the world traveler. What can I say....Seattle you have it all when you have Rays!!!
Cheers,
A much humbler San Franciscan

This is THE place to go, when in Seattle, for the best seafood. When in season, their Copper River salmon is out of this world. The veiw is one of the best in the Seattle restaurant scene. If you have a chance, go-go-go!!!

Shilshole Bay's historic landmark was tastefully rebuilt after burning to the water line. Only the original sign tower remained and still shows the way into the Lake Washington ship canal. They select all their seafood locally and from Alaska and Hawaii. Top quality. Definitely a yuppie flair, especially in the bar, but is a superb location where almost every table has a view of the water. Nice deck off the bar. It is a constant boat parade in and out of the ship canal. If you want to eat local seafood prepared with sophistication, come here. Expensive, but memorable. If you need a banquet room for a wedding reception or whatever, Ray's has very nice ones.
