I have never gotten the stare and I am a big honkin bohunk guy, not at all irish. They have Beamish Stout from time to time (hard to find, better than Guiness.

The Dubliner is the kind of place that brings out the Irish in everyone. While crowded, it definitely has a relaxed feel and everyone seems friendly. Live Irish music can't be beat over a pint of Guinness or Murphy's. I even got a free shot Irish Whiskey on my birthday.

Its not the beer or the service that make the Dubliner one of Omaha's best, its the atmosphere and live music. You must visit the Dub'.

Had one of the finest nights you could imagine last Thursday night Feb 27th .Irish Brigade outstanding. My lovely Rose of Clare . The Rose of Mooncoin .Service surperb. This was a dream stop for an Irishman on the raod.

A little smokey since it is in the basement, but this is a fun establishment. Love the live Irish music and the general atmosphere. St. Patty's day, while crowded, is an experience everyone should have!

It took me 4 days to find this place but it was worth it! Great Guinness on tap and the service was fantastic. If you are nice they might provide a complimentary shot of GOOD Irish Whiskey! Murphy's on tap too! (An added treat)

I was there on a Thursday night, and I didn't encounter the "stare" but instead had a very enjoyable evening. The service was attentive, a good band was playing, the black and tans were expertly poured, and I got a cool t-shirt to boot! I'll be back!

This is a "local" establishment - get ready for the "stare" when you walk inside. Since it is in the basement air circulation is poor. Pictures on the wall from Omaha's heyday add to the decour.

Have been drinking beer there since early 80's. Has had consistently good selection of beer. Have seen staff come and go but current bartenders are a credit to their profession. The bar often has a stale smell and gets very smoky when it's crowded. It could use some better ventilation but keep in mind it is a basement bar. Finally it's one of the few place where the bartenders can make a decent black and tan.

The beer is great but the place needs to be cleaned up a little. How about a couple of new chairs to replace the ones whose pads wore out five years ago? Get the smell of yesterdays cigars out of there.
