THE BEST BEER I HAVE EVER HAD WAS SUGGESTED AND SERVED BY THE BARTENDER IN THIS PLACE. NOT EVEN BREWED IN COLORADO. ALL HAIL THE GREEN FLASH WEST COAST IPA OUT OF CALIFORNIA....YOU HAVE JUST TAKEN OVER BEAR REPUBLIC'S RACER 5 IPA. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. THANKS TO THE NEW BELGIUM REP. FOR THE PINT OF THE BELGIAN WHITE. DON'T MISS THIS MULTI-TAP.

I almost missed visiting on this trip due to lack of time. I toured Great Divide in the morning before leaving for the airport, and the staff there pointed out that I had time for a quick lunch and a beer here so off I went. I wasn’t disappointed. Over 100 taps pour quality beers, with no crap on tap. My BLT was unique with onions and a garlic dressing. One of the best BLT’s I’ve ever had. Worth a visit by any true beer aficionado. Recommended most highly.

The only beer bar that I could compare to this as being the best that I've visited is the Map Room (Chicago, IL). I was lucky enough to stop in at the unvieling of Urthel Belgian Double IPA. The brewer from Urthel was there to talk about her motivation of brewing an IPA in Belgium. She was very interested in talking to Americans and getting their feed back on her beer. I should also mention that she was very easy on the eyes! As well as sampling the Urthell, I tried some other Belgian and local beers. All were very freah tasting and poured well. The only draw back was that the bartender reminded me of the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. If anyone was undecisive as to what they wanted to order, he would basically scream at them like a Marine drill sargent. Thank God I knew what I wanted when I approached the Bar! In his defense, it was wall to wall people, and I'm sure he just wanted everyone to enjoy their great selection of beers, although I've been to the Map Room under the same conditions and the staff there were always attentive and patient. Overall, a must stop while visiting Denver.

A true beervana - worth a trip to The Mile High City alone (and not just for GABF!) It ranks up there with Horse Brass (Portland, OR), Great Lost Bear (Portland, ME) Map Room (Chicago) and Ginger Man (NYC). Frequent rotation and always clean lines only improves the experience. A Rocky Mountain pub crawl under a single roof. Here is what I had: Bridgeport IPA (yes it's from NW), Bull & Bush IPA, Odells 90 Schilling and the always delicious Avery IPA - wish I could get this back East.

AWESOME!!!! This is the place to go in Denver along with Great Divide. The other breweries are lame, so you go to Falling Rock taphouse and get the best local brews along with a great selection of US micros and international beers.

I went to Denver on a recent business trip with two of my coworkers who know my affinity for a good beer. The Falling Rock certainly didn't disappoint us! Since I'm a hophead, we started with Dale Pale Ale and then had the Rockyard Hopyard IPA. If you're looking for a place to try all the great microbrews in Colorado, this is a good place to start. There collection of bottles on the wall is awesome and puts my own collection in my garage to shame. Besides being a great place to enjoy a brew, it's near Coor's field and many other establishements for others in your group they may not share the same appreciation for fine beer.

One of the best tap selections I have seen (~75). Great collection of bottles on the wall too. Tons of local brews but a solid selection of German, Belgain, etc. By far the best variety Ive seen in the Denver area.

From the Old Engine Oil stout to the Man Man beer, the sheer selection of beers available at Falling Rock is astounding. the Tap House burger is second to none, and the service is top notch. If you're out looking for good beers and a cool place to hang, check out Falling Rock.

I had the priviledge of going to this establishment after a session at the Great American Beer Fest, which in itself is remarkable. Falling Rock's motto of 'No Crap on Tap' is dead nuts on. The only mass market beer I saw on tap were all Coors products, which makes sense given their proximity to Coors. But that is not enough of a knock to knock this bar out of the running for best beer bar. Wonderful place to enjoy a beer.

There are few places on this planet with this number of beers on draft. I had the Widmer Milk Stout. It was smooth with a nice finish. When beer drinking aliens from another galaxy invade Earth, this pub will be their capital in the U.S..

In reply to Eric from Seattle,I dont work here but Im a steady customer. The reason they sell "McDonalds" beers (in the bottle only) is because of the closeness of Coors Field. They cleanup on gamedays selling these beers Which makes it easier to have plenty of good beer for the rest of us.

Truly in the top 3 of beer bars I've been to in the U.S. Ranked #2, only behind the Toronado in SF. Fantastic atmosphere...great service. Only one suggestion: if you really want to qualify as an elite beer bar, you must not have any swill available. In other words, lose the Bud, Bud Light, etc. ....NOW! The Toronado doesn't carry them...and that is the main reason why it is a superior beer bar. They don't serve the McDonald's of beer.

Best beer bar I have ever been to. They have it all and a staff that knows it all. The walls are incredible - like a Hall of Fame of beer bottles. Only negatives are too noisy when live music is playing, and only one crappy TV. You know they are serious about beer when at times they have more than one "vintage" of Sierra Nevada Bigfoot. The mecaa of beer bars. You will compare all others to this one.

Once again, the best spot in Denver to sample a multitude of fine craft brews (draft & bottle.) It's a real treat to have a taste of a great beer at the GABF (i.e. New Belgium's Brussels Dark Lager) then have a whole pint of it over at the Falling Rock. The food was pretty much what you would expect from a tap house, but pretty solid. In my humble opinion, I'd skip most of the over-hyped Denver area brewpubs and head straight to the Falling Rock. I've learned my lesson....

The best beers in Denver are here. While most of the brewpubs in Denver seem to have given up on making great beers for mainstream consumption, This place brings in the best from everywhere. Though it is located near Sandlot, Breckinridge, Flying Dog, Chop House and even Wyncoop, come here for the best beers and let the coors drinkers go to those "brewpubs" that make mainstream brews.

75 taps with "no crap on tap." My favorite was the cask-conditioned Avery IPA. Even though I'm a hophead, I prefer a traditional IPA to the five Imperial IPAs they had on tap. This place lives up to its reputation as "The Best Alehouse in America."

This place sets the standard for all others with its outstanding selection of top notch beers. Almost too many decisions! Though the type of food is typical for brewpubs, the quality is outstanding--salads, sandwiches are all great. Inside is kind of dark and dingy, but in warmer weather, the outside tables are great.

If you are in Denver and you love beer do yourself a favor and stop by the Falling Rock. With 60+ beers on tap you're bound to find something that suits your palate. The place is set up great with a large collection of beer bottles along the walls to get you "into the mood." While the brewpubs in Denver may have seen better days, this place really touches all the bases.

OK, if you're serious about your beer (and if you weren't you wouldn't be reading this) drop whatever you're doing and head to the Falling Rock. They're serious (and knowledgeable) about what they serve and the selection that you'll have to choose from will make you think you've been presented with "an embarassment of riches." Their kitchen consistently puts out good stuff, too. What else can I say? We're blessed to have a place like this in our midst.

Going to this place during the 02' GABF made me sad to know that I come from Scranton, and we'll never have a place this cool. Humungous selection, big place with nice outside area as well.
