loud establishment, food served at room temperature and sloppy, wait staff seemed to "disappear" and aside from the stout (which was a little watered down) the beer was terrible.

If you need a reason to go out tonight, here it is: Old Mule Barleywine. Easily reminiscent of Sierra Nevada's Bigfoot, this 9% powerhouse is massively hopped, yet without overwhelming the subtle caramel undertones of its smooth, full body. I hope Fireworks decides to cellar a few kegs of this, because it has the potential to mature wonderfully. Also on tap during my last visit were the Gold Igniter, a decent medium-bodied gold ale with a fair hop character; Rocket Boy Pale, round and slightly sweet with just enough bite to provide some balance; and Black Powder Stout, very full and rich with a delicious chocolately aroma, which finished just slightly faster than I'd have preferred. A mix of the barleywine and pale, dubbed RocketWine, was also available. My server explained that this was the salvage of a batch of the barleywine that turned out a bit too sweet. Unusual, but it actually seemed to work pretty well. Finally, a guest brew was on tap, High Point's Ramstein Blond Wheat - an excellent German-style hefeweizen with an unmistakable rauch-like smokiness. The bartender asserted that their own wheat was actually much better - a bold claim that I look forward to verifying once it's again available. Servers are knowledgable about their brews and obviously interested in your opinion of them. Menu of salads, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, and wood-fired pizza seemed reasonably priced, especially for the area, and my buffalo chicken sandwich was downright monsterous (and excellent, BTW). Live music is apparently featured regularly, though not on any of the relatively quiet nights I've visited.

The beer is very good and the food and service is excellent. We have held several corporate events there and the owners have been very cooperative each time.

Crappy, Crappy, Crappy is my opinion. The beer was tasteless and non-assertive. This is a place for coors light drinkers. The only good beer was love potion#9. We asked for a sampler and they wouldn't give us certain beers we asked for-the sampler consisted of primarily light beers and I asked the forbidden question if I could substitute for the darker beers. Service=lousy and Beer=Lousy

Mike's new pilsner is on tap, though I wish he didn't replace his wheat beer with it. Food is very good as usual. Can't understand why the 'other' local brewpub is still in business.

This place deserves more press! Tried all their beers ... all were decent and some were outstanding! Excellent IPA and weiss, surprisingly flavorful golden, a decent brown (actually their red). The appetizers we had at the bar were tasty and well prepared. And they bought us a round of beers just because we waited for them to open. What a pleasant experience!!!

Food is good, yet needs a little more dash of something special. The main attraction is the beer, but the food has potential even though it is an english atmosphere.
