Similar to many saucers in the south-wide selection of beers on tap and bottle and limited food menu. The regional beers are limited by the section of the country where the Saucer is located-and unfortunately Arkansas does not have a wide variety of breweries in the state. However, there is enough to choose from here if you visit seldomly.
This is a smoking bar-very stuffy and congested with smoke.

The Saucer is salvation for beer lovers in Arkansas. For a number of reasons (political and economic) the beer selection in the state is comparatively limited. Here you can get 75 drafts and 200 bottles. While many well-known breweries aren't available, there's enough choice to put a smile on anyone's face. Children under 21 are not allowed under state law, as it's a bar and permits smoking. It's also the only location in the chain that's closed on Sunday. Food is average pub fare. The servers are cute young women is short skirts. I try to visit weekly.

Very nice surprise as I did not expect much in the way of beer in LR. Food was So So but the waut staff was cute and the beer selection, both bottled and draft was excellent. good place to try if you get to the are of the Clinton Libary.

I've been in a few of this chain and they're all pretty much the same. They have a great beer selection and pretty waitresses in short plaid skirts. What more could you want?
This one in LR is well run and always busy. It's a bit smoky for my taste but that's to be expected. I go in there when I'm in the area just to get some beers I can't find anywhere else.
If you didn't know what this chain was and you took your kids in there I can understand why you might be upset when they wouldn't serve you. However since they really only serve bar food it wasn't your best choice for a meal with kids.

Super place, funky and weird! Very nice that they do NOT allow whiny children, adults need a place to get away from the family crowd!

They have an anti-family policy. Although they serve food they do not serve children. My family of 5 and I were summarily kicked out by a rude waitress who explained they do not allow children. There is nothing on the door about this. I didn't mind leaving as it was full of cigarette and cigar smoke. Smelled really bad.

First time there. Quite the atmosphere. Saucers (dishes) plastered all over the walls! Saucers of fame! They have 75 beers on tap and their flier, The Fly Paper, lists 122 bottled beers. Beers are from all over the world. Prices range from a $3.00 pint of Bud to a $16.00 bottle of Belgium (25 oz Chimay) Most are $4.00 to $5.00. Fun place to tip a few.

Typical Flying Saucer with a great selection of beers, both draft and bottled. They have a good variety of local and regional beers not found in the Texas FS's.

I drove up and down the main drag in downtown Little Rock, and this looked like the best place to try. Pretty cool atmosphere inside. Food menu was limited. Beer selections were limited but good. A place I would visit again, especially on weekend or happy hour when there would be more of a crowd.

We stopped at the Flying Saucer for lunch on Monday, good timing in that I could take advantage of the Monday special price of $2.50 for most pints. Among the notable craft breweries represented on the tap wall were Diamond Bear (see review), Boulevard, Goose Island, Pyramid, Redhook, Flying Dog, Rogue, Sierra Nevada, and Abita. Our sandwiches were good - a nice German potatop salid comes with the reuben. Service was satisfactory during a fairly busy lunch hour. It is easily accessable from the Markham Street exit off of I-30.

Was in LR the Saturday before the SuperBowl. Went to the Saucer, had some great microbrews. Service was a little slow, seem to have only a few waitreses. One bit of advice for those that don't know. GO DOWNSTAIRS! Upstairs is loud and noisy, downstairs they have huge couches,Pool tables, dartboards and the music is not nearly as loud.Very enjoyable and virtually empty until 9pm, we had the place to ourselves for a least 2 hours.Good sandwiches, nachos, and wherelse in Little Rock am I going to get Rogue Dead Guy ale...

I only go to Little Rock for business, but as far as Little Rock goes, this seems to be the place to go for beer and pub food. Good location in the River Market District and big open windows up front. And, if you're into bobby socks and short skirts, the challenge will be to keep your hands to yourself. The previous reviewer referring to fat waitresses must have a thing for anorexic women.

Have you been to another one of the Flying Saucers located throughout the nation? Then you know what awaits you here. Sadly, the popularity of this place speaks more to the lack of quality beer bars in Little Rock than to the quality of Flying Saucers themselves. If nothing else, it's a nice place to get a black & tan.

Wonderfull variety of draft and bottled beers. Decent food, with appetizers that go great with beer. Youngish crowd, but not unruly. Nice rooms available downstairs for private parties. One of the finest beer bars I've encountered.

This is the Arkansas version of The Gingerman (Gingermen) in Texas. In some ways I think it is better. First, no crowds during the week and second they have waitresses. If you are like one of the previous reviewers and worried about what your waitress looks like and whether she likes you or not; go to Hooters. If you want great beer and alot of choices; check this place out.

They advertise: "No crap on tap" . . . I would say this is pretty accurate. You can't beat the selection. Also, ask for the "fire sale" (beer of the day on sale) when you stop in.

Strange but appealing atmosphere. I would estimate they serve over 100 different beers from all over the globe. The service was great but the bartender wasn't much help with making selections. It's a must try.
