Sadly, Relyea closed its doors recently apparently due to financial considerations. A shame, because their Hoppin' Mad IPA and Fifteen Mile Imperial Stout were their best beers yet. There was a rumored bock in the vats when the place closed - if so, I wonder if it will ever see the light of day? There is apparently interest from one or more breweries to keep the Hoppin' Mad alive - my opinion? SAVE THE RABID BUNNY!!

Had their IPA and Red Ale at the Stoudt's beer fest in PA and was very impressed. The IPA was a hop-head's dream and the Red was a well balanced beer with a distinctive hop finish. I can't wait until I'm in Syracuse again to sample more of Relya's and Middle Ages beers. You Syracuse people are very lucky with all the great brewerys and beer bars in the area!

The Relyea brothers are relative newcomers to the market here in Central New York but I think all their hard work has paid off! Having to compete with Middle Ages down the road has not discouraged them in any way and they have made a fine product. I'll continue to visit both of my hometown breweries and wish for more of the same.

Of the many great beers that I sampled @ Octoberfest in Sacketts Harbor.. the TOWPATH PALE ALE was by far the best... When I returned home , I was pleased to see that my local distributor in Albany sells 6 packs.. . Great Product!!!

Had samples of these brews at the Buffalo Beer Festival. The pale ale was my favorite at the entire fest. I would definitely recommend trying these beers.

Although it was plain to see that the bottling line was having trouble with the neck labels, there was no trouble with the beer. I love the the 18?? scottish ale, very malty and improves on standing a bit

Being the owner doesn't effect my opinion... We will have beer shipping into the greater Syracuse market by Feb 19, 1999. We have a brand new state of the art brewing system, and love to show it off. Stop in for a tour and sample!!
Ross.
