Enjoyed an Old East India IPA--English styled malty then hops. Hazelnut Porter is a favorite of mine most places that offer this brew--this didn't disappoint. A taste of the Summer Ale wasn't impressive, kinda blah. Good, filling bowl of chicken soup made for a nice midday stop. Riverside location is very nice indeed--probably their biggest selling point.

As much as I hate to blast a local establishment (as sea hag soon shall be), this is a significant disappointment. the only plus is the deck if you're fortunate enough to get out there. the beer is mediocre, the menu uninspiring, the environment unfriendly (and far too kid friendly), and the service sketchy at best. a plea to you sea dog: find a personality to infuse both your beer and your bar. rise up from the family-friendly brew-stop for the tourist hordes and become a worthy tenant of a prime location and representative of the generally quality maine beer family. it's understandable that you followed the cash; gritty's made the same mistake in freeport. adapt. overcome.

Really spectacular setting on the river. They had a good selection of beers on tap but since we were passing through we just had time to try the IPA and the Hazelnut. On a friday night this place is pretty much packed, the huge bar, restaurant and the deck overlooking the river.

No brewing done here. All brewing done by Shipyard in Portland, ME. Seadog is owned by Shipyard. This should be removed as a brewpub.

Either things have improved or I got them on a good day. I had an exceptional experience. The space and view are really great. The hazelnut porter--I couldn't get enough of it. It tastes like it is made from hazelnut coffee. Shipyard now owns Seadog, but Seadog retained all their recipes. Seadog IPA is much better than Shipyard. Much more IBUs. The philly cheesestake was succulent! I had a great experience here and would go back.

This is a karoke bar. No food service after nine p.m. The host said there was a Ruby Tuesday down the road and whent on to the next customer. Not worth the time or gas to find this place. Hope they don't starve.

This place really blew it! What a beautiful place to have a brewery and what an awesome space to play around with...but they really dropped the ball somewhere along the line. The beer (ALL the beer) is watery and bad. I'll provisionally recommend the Hazelnut Porter, not because it's particularly good, but it stands out as above average in a sea of mediocrity. We came in at Happy Hour to try the Sampler, expecting to order pints based on what we liked, and ended up leaving because nothing caught our fancy. The view onto the Androoscoggin is impressive and on a nice day the balcony is a great place to relax, but when it gets down to it, this place just isn't worth it. A total dud.

Havin served this establishment from its humble begings, I've seen the kitchen jump from ave. pub food to high quality yum yum. Try the soup as Richard is a soup God, the staff is getting better by the day. It's more of a family orientated place but is great for all beer lovers.

Spectacular presence right on the Androscoggin river. Spacious brick mill decor, complimented by plenty of hardwood. In general the beers were less bold than prior Sea Dog endeavors, notably the IPA was missing it's distinctive hop bite. The beers were all well balanced, fitting more traditional to style than not. Kudos to the Harvest and the Pale on cask. The IPA and Winter Stock were fine brews, but again, were a little closer to the middle of the road than I fondly remembered from the past.

Two cask choices the night I visited: the ESB was excellent. A solid line up of craft brews. A friendly, fun place, highly recommended.

This Sea Dog location no longer brews on premises, but sources its house beers to Shipyard/Pugsley brewing out of Portland. Still good quality and variety, but no longer a brewpub.

What once was lost, now is found. All is right with the world....after a change in owners, the Thopsham location is once again open. The interior is a bit brighter and some minor decor has been changed. A new kitchen and tap system are just a few of the recent upgrades. Food seems even better.

This Sea Dog location is in an old mill building right on the river; very scenic. The usual lineup is supplemented by 4-5 seasonals, including two cask selections. Amber Wheat was very good, cask IPA and ESB were better than average in the British style. Good seafood, nice place.

If you can see Portland from Topsham, the beers MUST be good. Topsham is across the river from Brunswick Maine. The Sea Dog location in Portland is said to be closed, and the original Sea Dog in Camden, a great place, is losing its lease in the old mill to the building's main tenant. Too bad.

Great place to sit, relax and unwind. Great location with fantastic view of Portland; makes you want to stay for another beer just to savor the experience. Sea Dog brews have come a long way in the past few years, keep up the good work.
