Mostly typical SoCal beer--very light ales for the long hot days, but the IPA and a Belgian "Doppelbock" were very tasty. Right off the highway so stop in on your way to/from Yosemite Nat. Park like we did !

As a new arrival to the area, I was anxious to get acquainted with the local brewers. The location is good, while the atmosphere is decent...kind of 1970's. The Red Wave (amber) and Bulldog Pale Ale were excellent. They seemed tohave plenty of receptionist and bar help, but wait staff was way thin and service exceptionally slow. The meal was not very impressive, but it serves me right for ordering salad (food the food eats!). The staff was friendly and the beers were good enough for a return visit.

A sampler of the seven brews available cost $4.95. I was very impressed with the consistent high quality of all the beers. While some are more to my taste than others, all of them are true to their names and styles, and of uniformly full body. Not a wimpy brew in the batch.

Went here twice recently and was waited on by a bartender and a rookie waitress. The atmosphere and food is always great here. Beers: the red was hoppy, maybe unfiltered, but very good. The brown had a good smokey flavor. The IPA was average.

Visited from Colorado while in town for business. Used to wrk for Tommyknocker Brewing in Idaho Springs, CO so expectations were very high. The imperial pale ale was unbelieveable! Went four times in one week. All in all, a nicely done pub/brewery/restauarant. I would definitely return if ever in Fresno again (god forbid) ;-)
