My husband & I stopped in on our way out of town on Easter - glad to see you were open - had a sampler to try a variety of beer, but nothing really beats your Bluebeery. Yummy! Can wait til the Watermelon comes out!

My wife often stop at BBW at North Station before catching the train home. A very good selection of beer and decent menu. Definitely one of the best brew pubs in Boston.

Great selection of beer and well worth a visit. Please note however cask conditioned ale should be cellar temperature not room temperature. Very impressed with overall beer quality, food and bar service. Will come again.

Went to the Beerworks after reading some of the reviews on Pubcrawler. It was way worth it. Stopped in after running the Boston Marathon and boy was I thirsty. The Brew Pub is only a 2 minute walk from the the Orange Line North Station T stop. Thats a bonus. Found out later that I only had to Go three more stops to get to the airport when I left. All in all, in a great location. Any ways I expected it to be slow, business wise because it was a Tuesday afternoon, the day after Patriots day. It was, but I was there for the beer not a crowd. My girlfriend and I proceeded to the bar and started to drink. I started out with a cask conditioned IPA, that made me feel like I was on a Tall Ship bound for India. So good. My girlfriend had the Back Bay IPA and I almost stole it from her so I could enjoy them both at the same time. The Bay State ESB was off the hook its subtle malt and clean hop finish. Not wanting to be a total hop-head I changed gears and ordered an Irish Stout to hydrate my tounge. This stout was light like a true Irish Stout and had all the dryness you would expect. Enough of that, back to the hops. The Fenway APA was just what the doctor ordered as we dove into one of their delicious pizzas that was on their five page terribly overwhelming menu. The APA was bitter, but not over the top. It finished like Belgian but with less fruit and more hop. All in all, I sya if your any where near this place you should go. They have growlers to go and an array of t-shirts and gift items. The dont serve Liquor, so no Cherry-bombs here folks. Cheers!

I was in Boston on business and my flight was cancelled. I needed good beer and good food, and I found both here. Samplers were available, so I had one. Choosing five out of over a dozen available was a bit of a task, but I managed. The watermelon beer was a diversion from the Pales and Ambers I selected and it was cool to see a slice of melon wedged on my glass. I had the meatloaf, which was very good, and paired it with the anniversary Belgian ale - Wow. I would recommend that pairing even if you are like me and not much of a Belgian beer fan.

Having visited the Fenway location, I was surprised this location wasn't as crowded. The beer was excellent, especially the IPA and Bluebeery, and we had a great server! He was patient with a larger group and split the check with no complaints. We all loved the beer so much we got growlers to take home to our husbands!

Suprisingly slow most of the time. Unlike the Fen location, this location seems to be struggling. It is huge and can handle a great deal of people but the lack of hard liquor in the Gardens neighborhood hurts the business.

Finally got to the Canal Street location after years of getting stupid at Brookline after the Sox games. Both have excellent beers, but I’ll take the more laid-back atmosphere of Canal. 16 beers on tap the night I was there, and Lauren was a wonderful host. The service was very fast, knowledgeable and efficient.
They had on a Victory Red to celebrate the Sox good fortune. It had no real nose to speak of, with just a hint of a nice clean malt background. The taste was very malty right of front, but with a slightly oxidized aftertaste. The beer was served way too cold though, and once it warmed up it was a winner.
The Boston Common was one of the best session beers I’ve had. It was a beautiful copper color with a sweet hop nose. There were floral notes in both the nose and the flavor, but it was all malt across the palate and very long on flavor. This beer had a very unique malt flavor I can’t pin down.
The Cask-conditioned Fenway Pale Ale was essentially a Sierra Nevada clone, but was every bit as good. It was extremely fresh and had a wonderful citrus (Cascade) hop aroma.
The Bunker Hill Blueberry Ale was quite a show in a glass. With the fresh blueberry’s rising up and down with the carbonation, I was drinking what looked like a lava-lamp. Considering the strange looking concoction, it was crisp, clean, and quite refreshing. Sorry, but if I spot a berry ale or wheat on any menu I’m going to jump on it. And this one I had to have two (it was a cab-night).
Other than the table full of dingbats close to the bar – all four talking on their cell phones and not once to each other, the Boston Beer Works location made for a quite enjoyable evening. And surprisingly enough, it did not turn into an idiot convention when the Celts game got over with.
Oh, we had to try the chili. Sorry. It was good, but Malt River’s still the best.

15 beers on tap, but no darks (i.e. Porter, Stout, or even a nut brown)? Maybe because it is summertime. Most of the 15 are very good. A couple of fruit beers, including their summer watermelon ale, which was OK. Good food selection.

Well stop #2 on our trip to Boston was the Beer Works on Canal. We sat outside as it was a nice evening. The food was good. My wife was brought the wrong meal. This was quickly corrected. The beer was O.K. Nothing out of the ordinary. I'll go back if I am close to Canal Street and thirsty.

I was with a group. We had everything from burgers to cajun, to BBQ steak, to fresh fish. All was great. The beer was wonderful! I had sampler and found everthing to be fantastic. The berry beer was very interesting. Was good and was a bit like watching an old lava lamp between sips.

Impressive house beer lineup of 15 varieties, updated with three new releases during my visit. Had a cider and a cask ale. Not all ales, nice selection of lager styles. Very good pilsner, in the correct glass. Boston's Best!

This is my Favorite Place in the whole world! There is one in Salem MA too (Salem Beer Works). The Pumpkinhead Ale is Excellent, and the Blueberry is to DIE for (try it! It tastes much better than it sounds). The beer is smooth and the only problem I have is setting a limit! If you are in Boston, DON'T MISS this place!!!!!

I was in Boston a little too early for a Bruins game and finally got to try just about everyone of thier beers. They were all very good and the cask conditioned brews were truely great. Too bad the Bruins didn't fare so well. I had a great time.

Arrived before a Celtic's game and the place wasvery busy. Even so, the service was prompt and the beer was fresh and tasty. Once the game crowd left, it quieted down and we had the chance to sample a few. The Boston Red was very good, as was the "winter". The Blueberry was sweet without being overly 'berryish' even though there were blueberries added after the pour. We'll return to try other brews.

I stopped in before a Celtics game to wet my throat. I tried there cask conditioned IPA. Very good, this is a nice smooth hop head beer. I will be back the next time I'm at the new Garden for a game.

I was lucky enough to visit this excellent brewpub during a trip in late September. They offered 15 different beers brewed on site plus a cider. The Bluebeery Ale was particularly interesting to look at (I'm uploading a photo) because of the whole blueberries floating in it. The Pumpkin Ale was spicy. The more normal beers were all excellent too. They had a restaurant area. The atmosphere is deliberately mechanical or factory-like. Customers and staff were all pleasant and friendly.

I was delighted to find this excellent brewpub/sports bar on my visit last summer. The service is very friendly and informed. When I saw they made dozens of styles throughout the year I was suspicous. But many of them are very good and none are too bad. The IPA and stout were especially good. I highly recommend Boston Beer Works as a fine example of a microbrew pub.

very friendly and efficient staff at this location...since we got there early on a sunday afternoon, they even wanted to set us up with our game of choice on the nearest tv! The wife and i had a light lunch (she had the grilled steak caesar salad, i had the chowder and 1/2 sandwich combo featuring a california grilled chicken wrap) which was very good. As for the beers -- 15 on tap! two of which were on cask...My wife had the pumpkinhead which was a solid "pumpkin pie" experience. I had the cask IPA, which was smooth and delicious. I also tried the pilsner, which was bavarian style, rich and malty with a deep golden hue. This place is great, 1 block away from the fleet center and north station. So if you're in that neighborhood pass up all of the other bars on canal street and make it in to BBW-NS!

Having also visited BBW across from Fenway (which I liked), I prefer this one simply because it was one of the few -wait, correction - the only place that did'nt charge outrageous cover on St. Patty's Day - the most revered day of the year. And the beer was excellent. Try the 9 Alarm Amber Lager.
