You can't ask for much more from a chain pub. They have a great selection of micros and imports. They also have a local pub club which some of the chains seem to be doing to give it more of a local feel. The food is also pretty good for chain fair - mostly sandwiches and BBQ. It definitely has that mass-produced feel to it but it could be worse.

I can walk to and from this bar so my review may be somewhat biased. When it first opened nobody locally thought it would last because of the nearby competition from national chain restaurants and the numerous local pubs favored by people in Western Pennsylvania. They provided a vast selection of beers, a decent menu, good service, many screens to watch sports, and game tables. The combination has attracted many regulars who are in the 25 to 45 age range. If you want to drink unusal brands of bottled beer or sample a good selection of draft this the place to go in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh. If you're going to watch a sports event, get there early. There isn't a lot of seating in front of the big screen T.V.

I had mixed expectations for a place located bang up against a suburban mall, but I was pleasantly surprised. 36 taps ranging from the big domestics to Lindemans Framboise certainly helped on the positive aspect. Plus the diversity of activities - video games, billiards, large TVs, etc - make it a place that could appeal to several different moods.

My husband and I enjoy dining here, as we did this weekend with some friends. My only complaint is that smokers were permitted to sit in the nonsmoking section, and the music was a little too loud for conversation.

Fox and Hound fits that niche between local sports bar and brewery in a good way... They don't brew here, but do carry a very large list of micros and fine imports... All my current beverage choices were covered... The list numbers probably around 100 different types of beer.
The interior is focused around there very large bar that sits smack dab in the middle of the place. There is a seperate room for watching sports and one full of pool tables...
The food has that authentic English pub meets American sports bar ring... the typical appetizers and of course, fish and chips as a meal.
They are thin on the vegetarian selections (white Pizza or a salad)... However, they tend to be friendly and the manager stopped by several times to check on us.
Overall, this is an interesting place that lots of people probably don't even know is around, since they take the stance of not advertising.
In a tough market, this is one of those places that as a group people can all go to and get their individual benefits (food, beer, tv, games), and it is one we hope to see survive.

Lots of quality pool tables; other pub games. Great for watching your favorite sport on their many TVs and big screens. No very authentic pub atmosphere, but very nice bar/restaurant.
