The food is very, very good. The jalapeno and IPA are good ales brewed in Omaha. Also offers many Indian lagers as well as Young's ales.

When you drink the IPA here, expect something more like a British ale such as Bass ale and you won't be disappointed. This is not a hoppy American microbrewery IPA. They are using the name India Pale Ale since this is an Indian restaurant. Ask for a taste of the hot pepper beer before trying it, it is rather strange.

The only beer I tried on this visit was Kingfisher. Nothing remarkle about it at all. A little more hoppy than the average America lager, but not much different other than that. the fo

Our family is 1/2 American and 1/2 British. We were thrilled that The Oven served authentic Indian cusine at a good price!! The atmosphere is easygoing and pleasing. The help is knowledgable and accomidating. A wonderful addition to Lincoln.

I was in Lincoln a few months back and I ate here a couple of times. I didn't know that they had their own beers, so I can't comment on that aspect. They did have a nice bottle selection, with several Belgian's being represented. The food was really good, and came in the perfect portions. Being a vegetarian, I love eating at Indian places because there is so much to choose from. Being from the east coast, the prices seemed more than reasonable.

The Oven is an Indian resturant affiliated with The Jaiphur in Omaha and serve Jaiphur beers. Located in the Haymarket, The Oven serves excellent, reasonably-priced Pakistani, Indian and Bhutanese style food, and offers two craft-brewed beers - an IPA and a hot pepper beer. In addition, it's got a fairly good bar, with New Belgium ales on tap and a number of imports (including all the Indian lagers) in bottles. The IPA is drinkable, if unremarkable. The pepper beer is the more unusual style and slightly better, well worth sampling if you've never tried this style before. Both go well with any of the entrees.
Service is decent, although you might have to wait a few minutes for a table on weekends.
Bottom Line: If you don't want to wait for a table at Lazlos, or if you want craft beer at a resturant that isn't a bistro or a pizza joint, go to The Oven.
