I had an awesome IPA! My wife enjoyed the chicken quasadilia (SP?), and I had a great steak burrito while our 4 year old gobbled down a pizza. Our kids had a great time running around the open area in the large seating area. There are pool tables, ping pong, and video games, etc. The waiter and brewer were friendly, we all had a very enjoyable dinner.

Each beer I've tried has been very enjoyable. The IPA, Porter and Honey Cream Ale are my favorite. The ales are full of flavor, the brewer does not skimp on the hops or malt! Never noticed any off flavors with the beer, the mead was still a little "hot", nothing a little more time couldn't fix. The only problem relating to the beer is the availability. Occasionally I find only two on tap, you never know if you're favorite will be there or not.
The environment seems to me to be a bit bare, but I have enjoyed the music.
Hopefully they can keep at least 4 beers on tap soon, otherwise it may be hard to develope a following....

The only thing this place had going for it was the good spirited bartender and the two pool tables it has. We stopped in to try the beer and didn't make it through half the glass. Not sure why these people like the beers they serve. Stale atmosphere.

I've lived across from this pub for 8 month and have not visited until last week. I didn't even think the place was open. I was really surprised by the amount of people, quality of the live music, and the great tasting beer! My wife and I have been looking for somewhere with good food, good beer, and a nice atmosphere. We have not tryed the food, but what we saw on other peoples tables looked great. Menu looked promising. Can't wait to try all the beers. I was a little disappointed that they had no growlers or bottles available to buy some of there beer.

Bad atmosphere. The inside looks like a warehouse. The tables and chairs were those cheap stackable type you would find in a cheap chinese restaurant. We went on a Friday night around seven and the place was pretty empty. They only had two brews on draft and the menu was a placemat! However, there were also two dinner specials, which me and my friend had and were both excellent and very inexpensive.

A recent weekend visit found the place very busy, which is a good sign. They are a little hard to find and that may damn them in the long run. Go there while you can because the food and beer were pretty good. The Christmas Ale was stong and flavorful. Good job!

Very good for a start up and their chef is fantastic for such a limited menu. Great ambiance and friendly courteous service. Try the artichoke dip, they make everything from scratch asked them to consider making ceviche and i believe it may be on the menu soon.

The only problem I have with this establishment is it was hard to find, but well worth the searching. Beer selection was limited to three, but all were very tasty. I was assured that soon they will have quite a few more on tap.

All of the beers are refreshingly crisp and clean. I was quite impressed with the beers. Kalamazoo is home to Bell's Brewery and I was not expecting to taste beers that were better than Bell's beers, but I did! Great job Mystic, keep up the good brews!

Understanding that this place is just getting on it’s feet. The beer runs out fast, that can only mean it’s good. In fact the beer is very good for a start up. The porter was excellent and the mild was very hoppy, nothing wrong with that. The beers were very high gravity “no gas station beer here” I live in Kalamazoo and know the head brewer, so I will try to be impartial. The food was excellent and priced unbelievable. Mystic is set up more like a restaurant, so bring the family and a designated driver. If you go to OP for the food and don’t care for the beer, Mystic is the place for you. See you after golf…

This place had only been selling beer for three weeks when I stopped in. Had two of their beers which were very good, especially when you consider how long they have been open. Only had four on tap at the time, but I really liked the IPA and the Porter. Worth a stop while in the area.
