Absolutely Incredible! If you haven't had Sweetwater microbrews -- this is the best place to try one!

I went in for a beer and had 3 excellent super cold premium 16 ounce microbrews -- Awesome. An even bigger surprise was that I ate the best pizza I've ever put in my mouth -- an awesome little secret at the beach -- I don't think many of the tourists have found this little gold mine!
Dedicated premium draft beer bar that carries 22 premium and microbrew draft beers. Beer is poured at 32 degrees using a "mixer" as oppossed to canned beer gas. 1960's atmosphere carrying 4 Sweetwater (Atlanta, GA) microbrew varieties and 6 Abita (Abita Springs, LA) microbrew varieties.

This is one of the newer Mellow Mushroom locations. The "great" rating for beer quality and selection is based on the fact that, other than the McGuire's brewpub just down the highway, Destin is a destination where most places seem to offer little besides taps and longnecks of the megabrewer lagers and bottles of Corona and the like. At the Mellow Mushroom, the 20 or so taps are prominant behind a portion of the extensive bar. The draft selections on 8/16 included four taps from Abita Brewing (including their root beer), four taps from Atlanta's Sweetwater Brewing (including one of my regional favorites - Sweet Georgia Brown Ale), Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and Yuengling Lager. There were varied imports as well, although nothing highly unusual that I recall.
