They have a crowd that includes everyone from college students, aging hippies & yuppies, rugby players, bikers (both bicycles and motorcycles. Food is brought in from the outside, currently they have Barbecue, featuring a sausage made from beef brisket (um-um good!) Entertainment is as varied as the crowd. OH! the beer is great too, although you do have to wait line for it, but what a way to meet people!!

This little brewery is tucked away South of downtown Ft. Worth just off Main St. They sponsor weekly tasting parties at the brewery on Saturdays from 1-3 pm. Several great beers and a really eclectic crowd. Worth the trip!

I took the Saturday tour on June 4, 2005 was was served their three flagship brews; Blonde Lager, Rahrs Red, and Ugly Pug. The Ugly Pug was a dark lager. Being a rampant Hop Head these are not my favorite styles of beer, but were decent for their respective styles. Recently I have found them available in bottles in the Austin, TX area.

In the last couple of months have been in for the regular Saturday tour, as well as most recently the 1 YR anniversary party. So far only 3 beers on tap, not including the new limited(?) Pecker Wrecker. My favorite beer of the 3 regulars is Ugly Pug, but also enjoy the new offering. The staff is very friendly, and does a great job of keeping the locals up to date on what's going on at the brewery. Best time for the Saturday tour is probably spring & fall, as during the summer it can get pretty steamy in the brewery.

A great little brewery with two nice beers on tap...and plans for others. The tour is fun, the people are wonderful, the beer is great, and you can buy things like pint glasses, posters, coasters, etc. Want something FUN and DELICIOUS to do on a Saturday afternoon? Go to Rahr and Sons Brewery in Fort Worth for a tour and a few glasses of their brews! LET'S SUPPORT this one........THEY DESERVE TO STAY IN BUSINESS!!!! Bill Ahlman, Grapevine, TX
