Terrible, terrible, terrible..... I have not ever written a review because I feel that every place can have a bad day. With that said, we ordered the "Waygu" burger with garlic fries. The place was empty, only 2 other tables. After 20 minutes, I asked our server where our food was (remember the place was not busy) food should be up in a minute. Finally after 40 minutes, we received our (Waygu Burger)!!!! The burger may have had some Waygu beef in it, however, at best it had 2%... Meat was equal to bad Chuck at your worst grocery store, but at least the burger was warm. Burger came with garlic fries which were ICE COLD. Made a comment to the server, she looked at me like I had two heads. Finally put one in front of her and asked her to touch it, then asked for a Manager. Manager comes over, says the reason our fries are cold is because we ordered our burgers to be cooked medium. I took my napkin, placed a handfull of fries in front of him, asked him to touch them, he would not even at least pick one of them up. Now don't get me wrong, we have all been to McDonalds and have gotten Fries that were old, but at least still warm. These fries were as cold as if they were sitting in 60 degree temps. All that I can say is the New Orleans is full of fabulous food, and this place is one that you SHOULD SKIP, Burger King is way more gourmet than this place will ever be.

This particular Gordon Biersch is fantastic. Their Schwarzbier is one of the best we have had and not being that high in alcohol, we could safely have a few of these and not be afraid of staggering out! Had a sample of their upcoming Dopple Bock - wow! a great beer, but lots of alcohol. That was a "staggering out" beer, but excellent! Phillip is a great bartender - it was fun talking to him and the brewer and the locals that we sat by. They have the NFL package so it is a good place to watch the games on Sunday. Food is terrific, also. Their pizza was excellent - not greasy, and done just right. We look forward to a return visit.

This Gordon Biersch brewpub is one of several that features a schwarzbier instead of the Munich style dark lager or dunkels seen at many GB locations. It pours a dark nearly black color with the characteristic bittersweet flavors you would expect from this style. The schwarzbier was done well, which was no surprise as I knew that the brewer here is now James Hudec, who did a very nice black lager several years ago at the short-lived Brenham Brewery in Texas. The seasonal kolsch, which was raved about by our bartender, was bright and citrusy. This brewpub is right across from the Harrods Casino and not far from the New Orleans Convention Center.

I am from out of town attending a convention and I decided to checkout Gordon's. Not only did I become extremely sick from my food. Two other colleagues also became sick after eating at Gordon's. My advice, stay away!

My first trip to any Gordon Biersch. Pretty far off the beaten path, but worth a walk for something different. The staff was very friendly and professional; the space is clean and modern feeling. Food looked good. The line up was a little short on character, but there was some decent stuff. The marzen was too sweet. The schwarzbier was different and a little smoky. The Maibock was powerful and bitter-finishing. The pilsener was strangely floral, but I liked it. Overall a nice change of pace from the idiocy (I say that in semi-admiration)in the Quarter. Actually, this place ended up being our best beer bargain.

Love the Marzen and the Pilsner. The place is still fairly new in New Orleans, so as such, the food can be a little hit or miss. The garlic fries are great if you're just looking for something to munch on while drinking some really good beer. Service at the bar is really good as well. Haven't eaten in the dining room of the restaurant. There are about 6 flat screen TVs, so it's a great place to just kinda chill out and enjoy the game and a beer or two. Parking is free if you park in the Harrah's garage and get your ticket validated.
