Upon arrival at Greenland's international airport at Kangerslussuaq, one is greeted with a large banner promoting the Godthaab Bryghus in the capital of Nuuk. My travels did not take me to Nuuk, but I did have the opportunity to taste one of this brewery's beers at the Hotel Arctic in Ilulissat. Godthaab Moskusbajer, inspired by Greenland's musk ox (also featured on the Godthaab logo), is a strong beer that pours with a rich amber color and some nice lacing. This beer's malty taste is similar to what one might expect in a bock. Other beers from this brewery include Godthaab Pilsner and Godthaab Classic.
