No longer a 'Shroom. It's now called Tavern at the Arch and houses a microbrewery called Cold Nose Dave's. The pizza dough is made on site now and not shipped in frozen from a chain supplier.

Great Good Great Good Good
This was return visit to this MM location. Three of us shared an excellent large pizza. I washed it down with a pint of Sweetwater Sweet Georgia Brown Ale. I'm not sure the overall draft selection was as great as I have seen at this location in the past. Lunch time service was adequate.

As part of a recent college town tour, I ran into Mellow Mushrooms in Auburn AL, Athens GA, Clemson SC, and Chapel Hill NC. I especially liked the feel of the place in Athens, with a nice bar and plenty of booth tables and a small dart area. There was an extensive bottle selection of imports and US craft beers. The 14 or so taps included imports and several choices from Georgia micros Sweetwater Brewing and Dogwood Brewing. The hoagie sandwiches were quite good.

A great place to hang out and eat, drink and be merry! By far the most relaxed place in Athens with the greatest selection of beer.

Mellow mushroom is a pretty good place to go if you like beer. They have 100 beer from around the world and a healthy list of tap. Local, Domestic, and Import: it's all good. The food is great: Veggies will find this place very friendly.
