I'd gather that the "awesome" reviews on this particular establishment are a bit outdated, to say the least. Perhaps the clientele should travel farther than a few blocks from their apartment before writing a glowing review. Having a few taps of Sam Adams, Harpoon and Brooklyn does not qualify you as an authentic alehouse. Sure, the Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout in bottles makes up for the Stella Artois on draft, but that is not nearly enough to salvage this bar. Couple that with the lithium-based Ipod soundtrack and you've found yourself an evening of despair.

This really is the best hangout in the area, and contrary to what a dirty liar on this page wrote, it's not Irish. And we're glad about that.

5 taps and the Magic Hat #9 and Brookyn Lager were excellent. They have several more offers in bottles from Belgian to Sam Smith. Standard pub fare but very tasty and also some nicer dinner entrees but I didn't sample those. The bartender was fabulous and the atmosphere was cool. Stop in if in the neighborhood.
