are in the process of making various changes here to PubCrawler.
Working on how things look, how certain things work. The next
serveral weeks are a big new feature build time and a chance
for us to clear up some problems/bugs members have sent in.

Postal Codes for Canada Added Today
we added postal code data for all of Canada. In excess of
700,000 postal codes were added.
With
this addition you are now able to run searches for Canada
with mile range specified. This will allow you to find places
within the distance you want to travel from your point of
origin (home, hotel, etc.).

A New NEARBY Feature and the Lost Reviews 1.
We are happy to announce the addition of NEARBY functionality
for Canada. Our nearby function is seen most notably on any
establishment review page on the left most column and is labeled
ALTERNATIVES.
The
nearby features are important for all travelers and provide
you with one screen details plus alternative establishment
names just in case the place you were headed to is closed
when you get there.

We are aware of a major misfiling of many reviews that were
reimported a while back - following us losing them in a major
system crash. Sometime over the next week we will be carving
out the entire batch we imported originally and reimporting
the data. The goal is to fix the misfiling problem.

Ropewalk Update and New Feature
As
our regular visitors know and have probably read, we have a
free speech issue with Ropewalk
Tavern in Baltimore. We encourage you to visit Ropewalk
yourself and tell us about your experience. We don't think
they are bad people, we just think it's unfortunate that they
can't take constructive criticism from our reviewers. Using
the legal system in an attempt to silence freedom is a very
unAmerican thing.
We have been contacted by several writers for 'well-known' publications
that are reviewing the story and considering pening some articles
for their respective publications.
People have posted some really interesting responses and from
them we have just added a new feature to handle problem reviews.
Since we aren't editors or publishers, all of your reviews when
submitted go live. At times people exercising poor judgement
exercise their freedom and post off-topic messages.
Now, within each review we have a link called "Report Review".
That link will give you a form you can complete to ask for a
review to be removed. It's simple- provide your email and reason
for us to remove the review.
We have some smart technology behind it so that when a few real
people complain about a review the system will automatically
pull the review. That's a work in process so don't expect
it to be wonderful and don't try to stuff the ballot box.
