"Well, the owner is the only one who can order beer, the owner is the only one who can change a tap, the owner is the only one who can change the prices of the taps; in short the owner is the only one with the ability to make the bar good or bad.

Right now, a solid third of the bottle selections are out of stock. Most of the better Belgians, the popular Belgians, fruit beers and fruit lambics, German wheat beers, all out.

Next time you're there, check the date of the bottle list. That's slightly later than the last time a bottle order was received. And that's what the bartenders are up against; only a very few have been there more than a few months, and the new people aren't all beer geeks like most of the "old guard"."
