"I tried the doppelbock and the Hopback Amber Ale. At first I wasn't sure about the Hopback because I thought the name implied that it was supposed to be the super-hoppy beer of the bunch -- Troeg's "Hop Devil" if you will. After I checked out the website and got an explanation for the name, I came away a lot more satisfied. The Doppelbock is about 95% of the way there but doesn't quite reach the level of more flavorful offerings of the style from other craft brewers. Both were very good stuff, IMO just one or two notches short of "the best stuff." Good enough for me."
