"I cannot understand the good reviews given to this joint. The beer notwithstanding, this establishment has managed to do the seemingly impossible: screw up British cuisine. How is this possible? The food was disgusting. Simple pub grub was ill prepared, tasteless and maybe contaminated. I was sick to my stomach shortly after eating there. The chicken wings were terrible: overcooked, greasy and distincly rancid. The nachos were a nightmare: a stack of poor quality, stale chips with a stingy glob of ground beef and cheese. Unbelievable!!! I had to return this mess, left, as it were, to my rancid chicken wings. I must say, the view of the small canal through the spider webbed windows (inside and out) was quite an experience. I also enjoyed the sticky table top and the decorative display of dirty dishes that adorned the adjacent table for my entire stay. If you go to eat, make sure you drink enough beer to dull your common sense as well as your tongue."
