"Started my Michigan beer crawl here. 9 beers offered; I tried some that were new to me. Oast House Ale was malty and smooth, while the Steelhead Red had a tinge of sweetness to it. The Pale was very similar to the Oast House and the Bearpaw Porter was very good, very drinkable. The most unique offering this trip was Juniper Ale on cask. Being a reformed gin drinker, I always take any opportunity to remind myself of the great flavor of juniper. There was lots of juniper in the nose and the flavor meshed with the hops nicely--I could see myself having more than a few if I were a regular here."
