Despite a glowing recommendation, my fellow diners and I found Appian Way in Schenectady, NY, to be underwhelming and disappointing. In fact, we felt like second-class citizens in a bizare dining experience. From the Christmas decorations in the bathroom (it is June!!!) to the waitress who made us feel like we were an imposition and never once asked us how we liked our meal or if we wanted more drinks (when they finally arrived), to the piece of paper one guest found in his shrimp to the six or seven toothpicks I found in my dry and unexciting chicken cordon bleu, to the "family style" salad we were served after our meals were eaten, I can wholeheartedly say we will NEVER return to Appian Way - NO WAY, NO HOW!
