My family and I have never felt so unwelcome in our lives. We saw a commercial for Dodge City and thought, hey, lets check this place out. Well, it was the biggest mistake of our "eating out" lives. We were "greeted" with huffs and puffs by a waitress because we did not make a reservation. (Never mentioned reservation preferred on the commercial???) After I apologized, the hostess nicely expressed that Sunday's are busy and we need to call a head, but that we were lucky there was one table left. My husband, my infant son and I made our way back. We were clearly the youngest people there and there were no children. We squeezed the car seat in a booth and felt very unwelcome. It took forever to take our drink orders, and then forever again to take our food orders. By this time we were so uncomfortable and our son was waking up. We asked for a high chair, and they looked at us like they thought they may have one, but they could not believe we were asking. After some time a lady who never identified herself, came to our booth to lecture us about fire code and how they can't put a high chair in an isle. But the would make an exception this one time. And if we ever came again we should let them know we needed a high chair and they would seat us in a proper location. DID YOU NOT SEE WE HAD A BABY???? We asked for our food to be wrapped up to go and no one even asked why or seemed to care. After that, the tone was even worse. If I could have sunk under the table I would have. So, over $50 for just meals and drinks and tip and we took the food home in a Giant grocery bag. The food a least has to be good, right?? Hardly...cheap instant potatoes, paper thin chicken, tasteless steak. I wish we would have just gone to the grocery store. Families...BEWARE!!
