NEVER NEVER NEVER ... We were literary kicked out of here .... because we are INDIANS. Sad & sorry to see how they discriminate Indian clientele. We were the only Indian table at the restaurant.
Everyone who got there after us (non Indian) were greeted so warmly and with smiles. We noticed that feeling of being left out & ignored from the start. First we requested a booth, to be seated. They refused it to us saying it was reserved. Well so be it.
We sat & waited for someone to come take our order. Meanwhile we ordered some tea & samosas from the other hostess / waitress who said that her mother would take our full order. Meanwhile another booth got vacant & we requested to be moved there & at that moment the owner said YES & said that they would get the table cleaned up for us. So we waited. Nothing happened & we asked again, so they got the table cleaned-up. They did not move our stuff to the other table & so we waited again.
We had ordered Tea & Samosas to snack on & ordered Naan, rice & Saag for my daughter. The lady who took our order (the owner) firstly was very loud & bossy in her tone. Asks my husband what else we would like & we said that we would like to first feed our kid & enjoy the tea & samosas & then order our meal as it would become cold, so right away she said (and again very loudly) that we need to order everything together. We said that we would like to wait & if she had a problem with that? It was clear that she had a problem as she started explaining how the food may get delayed by the kitchen IF THEY GOT BUSY etc etc ... we said that we would like to wait & take our chances, it that was OK. She just walked away from our table.
When our food started to come out (now were there almost 15 minutes) we requested to go to the table they had cleaned up for us. When we got-up to go to the table the owner lady (who had a very loud voice) said that we could not go there. They just gave us a look and said that if we want to eat then we have to sit here only other wise we can leave. So I asked her, is it because of how little we ordered?
Her jaw just dropped - as though she did not understand English. They were very rude & insulting. I am sure we are never going to go there ever again. They are very racist & discrimination is their middle name. Sad that they are Indians, because I am embarrassed.
