We frequent this dive bar, after a long ride from Philadelphia every couple of weeks. Because of Food Networks suggestion for pierogies. We found the food was good and the pierogies very filling. However, the staff is unfriendly and even chastized us about not ordering in advance for the pierogies. We swallowed the tongue lashing just because we were tired and hungry but thought real hard about ever returning. Hopefully, I can find another homey place that offers pierogies in Pitt. The bartender/waitress even used profanities toward the "boss". Pass this place by...

Great Great Awesome! Good ? Great Great
Went on a Tuesday and discovered that bluegrass musicians jam in the back dining room every week. It was great: pierogies, a Yuengling, and panjos!

So So So So So So Lousy ? So So Lousy
HORRIBLE service. For a dive bar, you can get past the not so great decor and slim menu, but awful and rude wait staff is NEVER acceptable. Save your cash for one of the million other places that service the same food - but better. And dont have the rude and awful waitresses that Starlite has.
