I went to V&D with my girlfriend and we both ordered a slice of pizza and drinks. The slices here are a really good size. The crust is probably thicker than most would be used to. Somewhat like a NYC style crust on steroids. I prefer my crust thinner personally as I like to taste the sauce and toppings and I feel their crust tends to be the overwhelming taste factor.
Now the food wasn't that bad, but what was bad was the attitude of person who took our order(he looked like he managed the place too). My girlfriend noticed a piece of hair in her pizza and then took it back to see if she could get another slice. I expected the management to be somewhat sorry and offer another slice, free of charge. That didn't happen. The manager said that the hair was actually part of the mushrooms and that she needed to look closer. She politely pointed out that the hair is clearly a piece of hair, and that it for sure wasn't hers either. He got rude about it insisted that it was part of the mushroom and didn't offer any replacement.
As we got up to leave, I mentioned that he was rude and that it was definitely a piece of hair in the pizza. Why would we go out of our way to make a scene over $5? In anycase, the food was just ok and the attitude there sucks. I won't be going back. I suggust no one else does either unless you want to try the hairy pizza special, uh I mean mushroom pizza.
