Black Star Co-Op Brewpub: ready, set, reveal
The world’s first cooperatively owned and worker self-managed brewpub is almost here. On Nov. 14 Black Star Co-Op opens the bright red curtains and cuts the pretty red ribbon with giant scissors… well, not exactly. But they are unveiling the future home of their excellent brewpub.
The special “unveiling” is an exclusive event for media and Co-op members featuring presentations from the founders of Black Star, a viewing of the Brewpub location, and — we can’t forget the best part — a beer social.
The location will draw in diverse crowds from surrounding cities and is completely accessible by train to people from Leander to North and East Austin and even downtown. Even the future Capital Metro Rail will land only yards away from the pub. Not to mention it is only four miles from the University of Texas; college students get ready, grab your friends and try out this hot, new watering hole (once it is open, of course).
