Name a brewery and win a year’s supply of free beer
Because of a conflict with CooperSmith’s Pub & Brewing Co.’s Horsetooth Stout, Horsetooth Brewing Co. needed a new name. Instead of going the usual route — throwing back a couple, throwing out some names, repeat — Steve Jones, the brewery’s owner and founder, decided to hold a naming contest.
Residents have until November 7 to submit their ideas. The winner, announced a week later, will recieve a half-gallon growler fill of the very first beer and then a fill once a month for the first year the brewery is open.
“Some of them we had thought of, others are really good that we never thought of and really like,” Jones said. “And others are not quite fitting, but we are giving some more unique ones a shot.”
The rules can be found here. Get creative, people.
