Have gone here numerous times since it opened and have consistently been disappointed by the beer. HOWEVER, I recently went (after about a 2 year absence) and had their IPA and was impressed. I travel for a living and get to try beers all over the US. My favorite is an IPA, Stout, Porter, or ALE... Their IPA had the perfect hoppiness and floral notes. Their food is excellent... I've been back again and tried the Angus Burger, and Chicken Pot Pie. Lots of love in the food. I'll be back. |

Went to this place after a disappointing visit to SouthEnd Brewery across the river. I travel for a living and have the luxury of trying beers all over the nation. This place only had 4 beers and they were all weak. I couldn't finish the Pale Ale I purchased. Wouldn't waste my time there again. You're paying for the riverfront realestate/view and that's about it. |

Was here New Years Eve in the afternoon. Hadn't had a beer all day. Travel for a living and like to try beers all around the country. Personal preference is IPA's or Stouts or Porters. The 8 glass sampler did not satisfy. I left after sipping all 8 and only fully finishing 3. The place hasn't been open that long and it shows. The beer seemed amateurish at best. I've brewed and had friends brew better beer in their homes. Wasn't impressed at all and went across the river to try the River City Brewery... |

Had the sampler. 8 of the 10 beers were lousy. I travel for a living and have the pleasure of trying many beers. Even if its not my favorite style, I still understand the difference between well made and crap. This place is sadly crap. For better beers, head around the corner to Squatter's Brewery. Their sample was good ALL THE WAY AROUND. When I confronted my waitress concerning the lack of quality of the beers, she came up with the excuse that it was "perhaps different to my taste buds because UTAH limits the alcohol content to 4% and thats they may not taste as good". This notion is clearly BS and Squatters was verification of that. I would skip this place. |

I travel for a living and have the pleasure of trying many beers. This place was great. Their sampler was very good and their food was very good as well. There is love put into their food. Fresh. I had gone to Red Rock Brewery around the corner and 8 of their 10 beers on their sampler sucked! The server's explanation was that because the alcohol content was lower in UT, it affected the taste. What BS! Squatter's is proof that excellent beer exist with low alcohol content. A MUST if you're in SLC. |
