i love this place. i drove three hours in some raging snows last weekend to top off my grolwers. the newest brew "wailing wench" is mucho hoppy with a mild bite and good drinking. haven't had a bad beer there yet!

fun place to go on a saturday afternoon. the beers aren't remarkable, although i'm quite partial to the eye of the hawk (7% and pleasantly malty). the rootbeer is worth a trip by itself. good place to chat about beer after breakfast and kill a few hours.

it's a history lesson...with beer. two varieties is just plenty when you do it right...and do it for that long. i wish i had made it earlier cause late on a saturday night is...jamming to say the least. if you haven't been there shame on it or stay home.

one of the rare occasions where the food stands out better than the beer. they had five varities on tap teh night i was there and all were very malty (not a bad thing, just not my bag...). the "secret beer" was kind of flat and sweet like a bouble-bock--drinkable but not remarkable. the food was really good, however. the salad was fresh, the burgers were kickin' and the rings were everything an onion ring is supposed to be about--real onions and TONS of grease! go for the beer, stay for the food.
