Although I haven't tried the food, I couldn't help but notice the other patrons fine platage. Great brews including their hand pumped cask conditioned beer. Tried the Brown, Oatmeal Stout and some others, I think! (Either the outside temperature or the alcohol content was up.) Extremely nice conversion of a turn of the century foundry into a great brew/eatery. |

It looks like a corner bar from the outside, but INSIDE (!) they have perhaps 20 beers on tap including some of my favorites such as Guiness and Youngs Oatmeal Stout. Smokin' Joes also carries many (over a hundred?) bottle beers including three Chimays. The Wing specials and homemade cheese sticks are tasty. The bartenders are friendly, patient, helpful and knowledgable. This is the place in Pittsburgh to try new beers. |

Definitely German cuisine, beer as well as entertainment. Each December, a visit from Santa kicks off the season with their holiday bock, one of my favorites. |

When near Morgantown, WV a must stop is the West Virginia Brewery. My two favorites are the Blackwater Stout and the Appalacian Ale. Bottle beer (such as Guiness) is available for comparison but you'll not choose it after trying their home brew. |
