Establishment: Granville Island Brewing Company, Limited, Vancouver, BC

I was dissappointed, after 5 PM they close the tasting room and only have a retail store open with tons of gifty stuff. Located on beautiful Granville Island, and to not be serving beer after 5PM is an absolute waste. Beers are sold pretty much all over Vancouver, so you can taste them.

Great Great N/A Good Great

Establishment: Swan's Pub was Buckerfield Brewery, Victoria, BC

Beautiful restaurant/brewpub. Located in the old section of Victoria with the bay across the street. Nice atmosphere-lots of wood, and during the day, a friendly place with helpful people.

Great Great N/A N/A N/A

Establishment: Vancouver Island Brewery, Victoria, BC

Located on the main drag in and out of downtown Victoria-this is a brewery and sells cold ones and some great beer stuff. Selection of beer was over 6, and the lagers and ales are great(skip the fruit flavoured ones). As you are drivingthe ferry, good place to stop after a formal time at the Empress(something to get the tea taste out).

Great Great Great Great Awesome!

Establishment: Yaletown Brewing Company, Vancouver, BC

Yaletown has great atmosphere. Great restaurants/clubs and Yaletown Brewery fits perfectly. Place always is hopping, with people easy to be around. The action was like a sports bar , but with the friendlines of a fine restaurant. Of the 6 microbreweries in Vancouver, this one's my favorite. Plus down the street is a great cigar bar for those Cubans to take back to the USA .

So So Great N/A Good Good

Establishment: Jacob Wirth, Boston, MA

On the advice of another brew pub and the local Boston % Beyond publication, went to this place as a brew pub. They do make two beers -Jack's Dark and Light. These were nondescript beers, especially when the dark was served in frosted mugs. However, as a pub, the back bar was fabulous, dated 1868, and the selection of local and Euro beers very good. Overall atmosphere-real old time comfortable and yet could invision it hopping when the theater was in session.

So So Good N/A Good Good

Establishment: Rock Bottom Brewery, Boston, MA

With six beers on tap(one included a beer master special-double bock, there was something for everybody. Of the selection, the munich gold(their award winner) was the best with the porter close behind. The ale was very light and don't bother trying the mayberry beer. Overall, beer was there but the character and style that typically is in microbrews wasn't there. Atmosphere was good, lots of room in this glitzy style.Location great in the middle of the theater district. And I must mention the napkins, two patrons commented on how great they were. Also, I understand the Harvard Square location has different beers than this one-I guess that's my next stop.

So So Good Good Good Good

Establishment: River City Brewing, Sacramento, CA

Beer was a non-event. The stout was dark but flat and not very tasty, the ales basic. What can you say - a mall pub!!!

Great Awesome! Great Good Great

Establishment: Wharf Rat At Camden Yards / Oliver Breweries, Baltimore, MD

Wonderful London Pub atmosphere, including British style beers and a bright red phone booth. Great location between major hotels, two blocks from the Inner Harbour, and close walking to Camden Yards and new Ravens stadium. Stouts and Porters were tasty, bold and good finish (something lacking in a lot of microbrews).

Good Good N/A N/A Lousy

Establishment: Twisted Pine Brewing Company, Boulder, CO

Located in a tiny industrial storefront, this brewery's slogan says it all: "It's not the size of your brewery, but how you use it." No frills/no food/no atmosphere kind of place but they make some very good beer. Other claim to fame, located on same road as you drive to visit Boulder a.k.a Rockies Brewery (the big guy!).

Good Good N/A N/A Lousy

Establishment: Left Hand Brewing Company, Longmont, CO

Located in an industrial part of town near the railroad tracks and stone distributors, this place is clearly a beer producer and no show brewpub.

However, they have several very good beers, especially the X-Mas ale this year, was a great blend of spices and much better than a classic like Anchor Steam (tough to say being from the Bay area).

Great Great Awesome! Great Awesome!

Establishment: Sonoma Mountain Brewery, Glen Ellen, CA

Ultimate in atmosphere, almost decadant for a true pubcrawler. Beautiful copper German brew tanks. Huge tasting/ lounge area with entire wall fireplace. One of a kind hydroponic waste water recycle system. Demo gardens and beer tour. Awesome brewpub/microbrewery nestled in fabulous wine country, as a matter of fact shares access road with Arrowood winery which is a must for wine enthusiast. Great respit if you are wined out and want to kick back and quaf a few great beers. Sell bottles to go and have an extensive gift shop. One might accuse them of commercializing the microbrewery concept!!!! First microbrewery (at least in N. Calif) owned by a winery.

Great Great Awesome! Great Awesome!

Establishment: The Church Brew Works, Pittsburgh , PA

The use of the altar of this very impressive old church for the brewing process was strange but cool. You felt like being serious but the great beers changed all that fast. Located in a warehouse area it is a little daunting to drive to the place, but It's worth it.
