This was another stop on my 9 day visit to Milwaukee and its worth the trip.Using an old tannery building it has plenty of atmosphere right on the river and the beer and food is great. You can't miss with this one. |

Came over from Michigan on the Lake Express and spent 9 days in and around Milwaukee visiting with my friend Dale. Together we hit a few of the bars in Milwaukee and I must say that Hooligans was a good time. Great selection of beers on tap and the food was great.My only complaint would be the grouchy old bartender behind the bar the day we visited. If you sat outside or at a table you wouldn't even know there was a problem.If I owned this bar this guy would be gone.Other than that its worth the trip. |

My friend Dale and I checked this place out 12-27-07 and we ordered the original 5 with our food and that for me is the way Im going from here on out.That way if I don't like something Im not stuck with a pint.I liked the IPA and the Stout the best and was very suprized by the Raspberry Wheat . I liked it and Im not one to go for fruit beers at all.Dale lives in Milwaukee and comes to Michigan to visit his mom and I live just south of Jackson so when he visits we make time to get together and hoist a few. The Old Peninsula will no doubt be our starting point again.Real nice laid back atmosphere ! |
