Dream Catcher Light: Light color, and flavor clean finish, made for the Bud Light Crowd! 2 Stars

Singletrack Copper Ale: Nice roasty malt flavor, creamy mouthfeel, with a nice clean finish, and a slight hoppy background flavor.. 3 1/2 stars

Roadrunner Brown: Hints of chocolate, slight nutty flavor, very good american style brown ale.. 3 1/2 stars

Saguaro Stout: Very nice creamy mouthfeel, although listed as an oatmeal stout, this is more of a milk stout, wonderful aroma, and hints of chocolate, a damn fine brew... 3 1/2 stars.

Pumpkin Porter: Dessert in a glass, great balance of pumpkinand spice, not overpowering, well balanced with a fantastic creamy porter, this is a winner for winter!!! 4 stars

Dunkelweisse: Very true to style and damn tasty, nice Bannana and clove finish, a true treat... 4 stars

El Heffe Hefeweizen: Very true to style, a great Bavarian Heffe, wonderful balance of Bananna and clove, very clean finish, this is a very good beer....4 stars

So So Good N/A Great Good

Establishment: Boiler Room Brew Pub, Laughlin, NV

Stopped in on my first trip to Laughlin, I am more a Vegas guy, but had to try the brewpub, so here goes!!! Amber: Off color, sort of a washed out coke color, very light flavor profile, but a clean finish...2 1/2 stars...

Golden: Another intro beer for the bud drinker, very light color, and slight off flavors....1 1/2 stars....

Stout: No aroma, nice color, slight roasted malt background, but the flavor dies quickly, sort of like a Michelob black and tan, not bad, but not great. 2 3/4 stars...

Red Lager: Killians like color, very off flavors, tasted like dishwater, undrinkable!!!! A very nasty beer..1/2 star...

Ginger Lager: No aroma, nice golden hue, and a nice clean finish. Crisp flavor, with a hint of ginger, this beer was by far the best of the bunch, this I could drink!! 3 stars....

Establishment: Barley Brother's Brewery and Grill, Lake Havasu City, AZ

First off, let me start this review by stating that this is a very cool place, with great scenery, excellent beer, and very knowledgable staff. Joe the day shift bartender just doesn't pour beer, he like many of us is a beer lover himself, and is very educated on the beers they serve here, he was freindly, and made my tasting experience a great one. As for Lon the brewer, this guy is what all brewers should be, his bottom line is not the almighty dollar, but the quality of his beer. He is passionate about brewing, and he loves his work. I was impressed by his dedication to brewing fine beers, and his candid approach to the business aspect as well. I enjoyed talking to him, and sharing a very tasty IPA with him as well.. This guy has got the goods!! Ok on to the real star here, the brews!!! First off the triple B, aka the Blonde: This is the entry level beer, the beer designed to lure Bud drinkers into our world, but amazingly enough this one is actually very good! It had a nice crisp finish, and a very nice flavor profile for a light! I could actually drink this beer on a hot day...3 stars Beachball Red: Very nice amber hue, nice roasted malt flavor, and a very clean finish, this is a damn fine red..3 1/2 stars. Tripleberry wheat: I know what the guys are thinking fruit beers, ugghhh, well let me tell you this beer is fantastic!! Clean crisp, not too fruity or sweet, very well balanced, this is a true summer brew, my wife loved this beer, and I did too...4 stars JennaGrace Heffe: This is a nice american style heffe, with crisp clean citrus overtones. A very easy drinking beer, a slice of lemon brings out the flavor profiles, and enhances the lovely bouquet. A damn fine beer...3 3/4 stars... Apricot Peach: A wonderful unfiltered fruit beer, this is it baby, this beer was enjoyed by my wife and I so much, we fought over who got the last sip. This is a great example of a nice refreshing fruit beer....4 Stars... Euro Export! Nice clean taste, slight hop profile, very crisp beer. Goes down smooth and easy, nice drinking beer..3 1/2 stars... Pilsner: A fine example of a REAL TRUE AMERICAN PILSNER, this is a great brew, very tasty with a nice hop balance, very tasty, and highly recommended! 3 3/4 stars... Oatmeal Stout: Oatmeal ain't just for breakfast anymore baby, it's for brewing great beer, case in point this stout. Nice roasted malt flavor, with hints of coffee, and chocolate. The oatmeal smooths out the flavor profile, and makes for one damn fine stout..4 stars.... Bighorn IPA: OHHHH Baaaaabbbbbyyy. This is heaven in a glass, great hoppy IPA, lovely orange hue, great floral bouquet, a hop heads dream. This beer rocks. I am enjoying a glass of it right now!!!! Yummy....5 Stars... Destroyer IPA:: Stand back, this beer is true Nirvana!!! A wonderful imperial IPA, with wonderful aroma, and just layers upon layers of flavor. If god drank beer, this would be it!!! This beer blew me away. It receives the coveted 6 star award!!! Again my thanks to Lon, and Joe, for great beer, great conversation, and one hell of a good time!!! PROST!!!!!

Great Great N/A Awesome! Great

Establishment: Copper Canyon Grill and Brew Pub, Chandler, AZ

This is a cozy little brewpub/sportsbar located in a strip mall on Ray Road in Chandler. I identified myself as a beer reviewer upon arrival, but noticed my service was no different than any other customers, all customers are traeted well, this was impressive to me. Also the bartender was knowledgable about the beers, as was the on duty manager. Overall my experience was very pleasurable, also Kudos for having amber colored growlers, and for sealing them with tape, this is a classy move.

Establishment: Four Peaks Brewing Company, Tempe, AZ

Well I finally made it to the pub, and it was well worth the trip. Although a bit out of the way, this place is worth the drive. Great warehouse feel, and very good beer, the service was good even though the bar was quite busy, the bartender, was attentive, and very polite. The beers were very tasty, i had a sampler of 7 beers, a stout, porter, red, kiltlifter, 8th street ale, a peach, a blonde, and a beer called fools gold. This was my favorite, a nice claen hoppy golden beer, that defies the rule that golden beers lack taste and character. I realize that the SWBN and the management have a personal disagreement going, but I believe any brewpub should carry any brewspapers available to them, regardless of personal feelings. I would like to see the SWBN, and the celebrator papers in this otherwise great pub, If you like beer, and I mean real beer, try this place out!!!!

Establishment: BJ's Restaurant and Brewery, Chandler, AZ

Yes this is a chain, but man what a chain. First off it is located in a very nice mall, it has agreat open feel, large seating areas, high ceilings, and a great tv wall behind the bar. I had a sampler of six of the 11 brews available (i will get back for the other 5) I had the standard 6 flagship brews, A wonderful and I mean wonderful imperial stout, a very nice red, a good porter, a very nice Kolsch, a very true to style bavarian heffe, and my personal fav, the pirannah pale ale, which was very tasty, very hoppy, and quite refreshing. Judging by the number of reviews, not many people have found this gem in the mall in Chandler. Try it out, you will not be dissapointed. I look forward to my return trip to try the other 5 brews. Oh by the way there is also a wonderful guest belgium called Pirrat, which is @#%$& fantastic, and yes can you believe it a Lambic on tap, very hard to find, and quite yummy, this one is Framboise which is rasberry Lambic...

Establishment: Baltimore Brewing Company, Baltimore, MD

Ok I must be missing something, but I grant you it was 7 years ago when I went here. But it SUCKED with a giant capitol S. Beer was lousy, service really sucked, but the view was great. The place was empty when we arrived, and the staff would not let us sit where we wanted too, which was of course where the best view of the bay was!! After my friends Mother spoke to the manager we were allowed to sit there, but the beer was very dissapointing, as was the nearly non-existant service. The food was good though... Not recommended, but things may have improved!!!

Ok I admit it was almost 7 years ao when I visited this place, but it was great!! The Edgar Allen Porter was the best porter I have ever had, and the Blueberry wheat was to die for, even though it was a fruit beer!! I hope recent reviews are wrong, because other so called brewpubs in this area SUCK!!!

As in my review of the other location, never been there. Had the beers at several beerfests. Nice heffe, good amber ale, and a nice wheat. Not great, but not crappy beers either. Give them a try and make your own decision!!

Been to the airport location, will get to the Tempe one soon. A chain, so they all have the same beer, but remeber different brewers!! So although the recipes are basic, each brewer adds his own twist, and style. So don't turn up your nose because it is a chain, give it a try, because a $6.00 GB beats a $5.00 Bud in the AP anyday!!!

Again haven't been to the pub, but have tried all of the offerings via beer festivals, local bars, and bottles! Great scottish ale known as kiltlifter, very true to style, and very tasty. I am also a big fan of 8th street ale, this is a very nice amber colored ale, with a very nice flavor profile! the heffe is also good, but not the best, see Rio Salado. I will get to the pub soon, and look forward to it, until then I will continue to enjoy the beers where I can, when I can!!!

MY THANKS TO WHATEVER BEER GOD GAVE THE OWNER THE IDEA FOR THIS BIT OF BEER HEAVEN. I HAVE BEEN ENJOYING BEER FOR 22+ YEARS, AND THIS IS THE BEST BEER BAR ON THE WEST COAST!! 32 BEERS ON TAP, TWO ARE CASK CONDITIONED ALES, MEAD AVAILABLE, AND A HUGE SELECTION OF BELGIANS, MY PERSONAL FAVORITE! AS TO WORRIES OF BEER GOING STALE, DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE PLACE, FEAR NOT, THIS PLACE DOES GREAT BUSINESS, AND THE OWNER TAKES GREAT PRIDE IN HIS PRODUCT.HE IS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT THE STYLES HE SELLS, AND SERVES, AND HE STRIVES TO PRESENT HIS PRODUCT IN A FIRST CLASS MANNER. IE: THE PROPER GLASSWARE FOR THE STYLE YOU ORDER, THAT MY FRIENDS SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT THIS GREAT ESTABLISHMENT. THIS IS A MUST STOP WHEN IN THE PHOENIX AREA. GREAT BEER, GREAT ATMOSPHERE, GREAT SELECTION, KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF, AND DAMN TASTY FOOD. THIS PLACE IS A GODSEND TO BEER LOVERS, AND IS NOT TO BE MISSED!!!!

Actually have never been to the pub, but have had all of their beers, at numerous beer festivals, and local bars. Without a doubt the best Heffe in the US of A!! Very true to style, wonderful bananna and clove esthers, great hazy straw color, great aromatics, and wonderful flavor. DO NOT ADD A LEMON!!! Great amber, marzen, scwartzbier, pilsner, and cherry kriek!! This beer is a must try!! I plan to hit the pub soon!!

Establishment: Dark Mountain Brewery, Vail, AZ

NASTY is the only way to describe this beer. Although the Porter was very good, the other selections were undrinkable!!! Very off flavors, high Diacetyl back flavors, low head retention, and very acidic flavor profiles. Horrible mouthfeel, and even worse aromatics. This place is closed now THANK YOU BEER GODS, this place was an abomination on the beer drinking public, and an offense to us fellow brewers!!

So So Good Good Good Good

Establishment: Alcatraz Brewing Company, Tempe, AZ

Of all the brewpubs in the area, this one is low on the pole. The beers are average, and obviously brewed to lure the bud drinker in from the madness of the mall. But I will still take one of their beers over a bud anyday. Stick with the stout, scottish, or wheat, they are the best of an unimpressive bunch. Beer lacks character, flavor, and mouth feel, although the wheat can be quite refreshing when the temps start to rise. If you are shopping here, it is worth a stop in, but if not, go to four peaks, or rio salado, both are far superior.

A FIRST CLASS BREWPUB LOCATED ACROOS FROM ARROWHEAD POND. GREAT BEERS, ESPECIALLY THE HEFFE, WHICH IS IN THE TRADITIONAL STYLE, WHERE THE FLAVOR PROFILE IS PREDOMINATELY BANANNA AND CLOVE, VS THE AMERICAN BASTERDIZED VERSION WHICH IS TOO CITRUSY. ALSO A GREAT STOUT, AND PORTER. WHEN IN DISNEYLAND, MAKE THIS A MUST DO!!!

So So Great Great Great Good

Establishment: Rock Bottom Brewery, San Diego, CA

The chain brewpubs have yet to impress me, and this one is no different, although in a great location, with very good food, the beers are nothing to rave about. Had the sampler of six beers, a stout, a pale ale, a light lager, a California common, an IPA, and a wheat. All were less than impressive, very watered down, little to no mouth feel, very light tasting, and poor aromatics. And as at every Rock Bottom I have been to, never a cask conditioned ale to be found!! However this still beats buying a bud at the HOOTERS around the corner!!!!

Although I now reside in Tucson, I grew up in NEPA, and was exstatic to find a brewpub in the area. Sat at the bar with my brother, and ordered up to sampler racks. Great beers one and all, a very nice Kolsch, a tasty porter, a very roasty malted stout, a delicious Alt, and a tasty holiday brew. Got to talking to the brewer Terry, and he brought us a sample of his scottish ale, and a very nice belgian. Both were still fairly young, but I could tell they would be great upon maturity. This is a must stop for any beer lover in the area. Went back the next evening, and had a great time, although my sisters Cape Cod was made with Grapefruit Juice, it was quickly fixed, and a great time was had by all. IN MEMORY OF MY FATHER PROST!!!

Establishment: Electric Brewing Company, Bisbee, AZ

Again, I must question my fellow reviewers on their voracity for fine beer. Are they true beer lovers, or trendy brewpub patrons. Although I admire Dave, and what he has done, his brand of beer is less than impressive. The electric beer is no better than a bootle of ugghh dare I say it Buttwiper!! It lacks character, and taste. The pale ale is better, but still a far cry from say a sierra nevada, or some other fine american pale ales. Dave has the right idea, but poor execution. Save yourself the trip, and buy a six pack of sierra nevada and enjoy.

Establishment: Holy Cow Casino, Cafe and Brewery, Las Vegas, NV

This is an example of what a brewpub is supposed to be. Great BEER, good service, knowledgable staff, and a brewer who is accessable to his patrons. True to style beers, with wonderful mouthfeel and aromatics. No off flavors, and no adjuncts. Ask a server what the final gravity is on a beer, and they know the answer. Ask them how many IBU's in the pale ale, and they know. This place sadly is gone now, but I will definately make the trip off the strip to the new location, just to have one of their beers.

OK this place is a tourist trap, but they do not hide that fact, the beers are average, but far superior to the triple 7, and since the holy cow is gone, for strip drinking this is it. Avoid the kitchy interior bar, and just get your beer from the walk-up window, and cruise the shops. Stick to the pale ale, or heffe, or if you get lucky sometimes the seasonals are quite good. Again not great beers, but drinkable, and beat's the hell out of mass produced american swill. Oh and there is a bathroom right around the corner, near the steps to go up to the tram!!!!

Lousy So So Good Great So So

Establishment: Triple 7 Brewpub, Las Vegas, NV

Well having read some of the other reviews I have to question whether these folks are truly BEER lovers, or people just trying to be trendy by going to brewpubs. The beer here is NASTY. High DIACETYL off flavors in virtually every one I tried. Virtually no mouth feel, or flavor other than the off ones in any of them. The staff is also rather clueless when it comes to answering questions about the so called beer. Skip this one if you a true beer lover.
