I'm sure first impressions can be incorrect as I've read many negative reviews for SSF. I've been enjoying their beer for the last 5 years and think it is the jewel of Armory Square in downtown Syracuse. The Red is clean, the Wheat is smooth and the Cherry Lambic is unique and especially appeals to women who usually do not like beer. It's an excellent place to watch Monday night football with 5-cent wings and the best place for Happy Hr on Friday's from 4pm-2am for $2 draft. This is the only active brewery-pub in downtown Syracuse. The only other one, The Empire Brew Pub, left last yr - mainly due to $ issues but the stuffy atmosphere, overpriced beer and rude waitstaff didn't help either. Syr Suds is the place to be to cheer on the SU Basketball team and drown the soon to be many losses of the SU Football team this season. Check it out! The comfortable atmosphere and knowledgeable bartenders and always available for a chat Brew Master Norm are sure to impress! |

This is an incredible place! My favorite in Memphis. Over 75 beers on tap and a detailed list with all prices clearly shown. No flat beer here, old reports of that have been fixed. Very comfortable place to watch a game or hang out. Cool decor. Monday night's $2.50/pint. All of the foreign Hefe-W's were excellent! Souv t-shirts for chicks are $15.50. A chain bar/rest without the chain feel. Highly recommended! |

Very comfortable bar on the famous Beale St with excellent staff. Good selection of beers on tap. $5 for draft seemed a bit high, but for a tourist area was expected. |

Stuffy chain-restaurant & pub; 6-microbrews on tap. Would be great for yuppies...atmostphere was not relaxed. Not a comfortable place to enjoy a high quality brew and watch the game. The Hefe-W was very good, $4 each was reasonable. In Memphis, try beer bars "Flying Saucer" or "Beale Street Tap Room." |
