Establishment: Jacob Wirth Restaurant, Boston, MA

I ate a Sauerbraten and was sick for 3 days. Good German food in Boston? Non-existent.

Great Awesome! N/A Awesome! Awesome!

Establishment: McSorley's Old Ale House, New York , NY

A real bar. The beer selection was superb: a light and a dark ale, well done and served at the right temperature, i.e. not ice cold. I much prefer that to these yuppie brewpubs with 25 equally icy and shitty beers. Quick service too.

Establishment: Heartland Brewery at Union Square, New York, NY

The Indiana Pale Ale was lousy, the rest barely acceptable.

One of the better bars in this dump of a town.

Establishment: Times Square Brewery, New York, NY

Their Pilsner is a true North German one - that's about the only thing left over from the original owners - everything else has deteriorated.
