Great IPA. The other beers in the sampler were also very good. Eight house brews and several local micros on tap. Comfortable, friendly atomosphere and great service. Snacks are available during happy hour (didn't try any). Many other joints nearby on Crescent St., but you'll find yourself coming back to this one. |

Great brewery in a great little town. We have E-ville's beers on tap at our local on a regular basis. The brewery itself is a great place to hang out. We attended two of their summer brewfests in July of '97 and again in '99. What an awesome time! No festival in 2000 though :( All their beers are excellent, my personal fave is the pale ale. |

Establishment:
High Falls Brewing Company, Rochester, NY
The former Shea's, Dundee's and Genesee brewing companies have been all rolled into the High Falls Brewing Co. They have some very respectable brands in their portfolio. Would like to see the discontinued High Falls IPA or something similar brought back. High Falls product's are a solid, quality choice. |

Establishment:
Cooperstown Brewing Company, Milford, NY
Cooperstown brews some classic English style beers and does it quite well. Our visit included a tour followed by a tasting session and friendly discussion of various styles and brew processes. The beers are all excellent, namely the Old Slugger, Backyard IPA, Pride of Milford Special Ale and the Benchwarmer Porter. Picked up a sampler case and an Old Slugger tee. Looking forward to more sampling of these fine brews at the Flour City Brewers Festival in Rochester this August 10-11. |

Brewery Ommegang, Cooperstown, NY
Great time in Cooperstown. Brewery Ommegang was outstanding. This brewery and their beers are quite unique. Free, informative tour and great atmosphere in and around the brewery. The building is pretty impressive, styled after a Belgian Abbey. Awesome tasting session followed the tour. These are real friendly folks. Picked up a sampler case with Ommegang, Hennepin and Rare Vos. Don't miss this one when in Cooperstown. |

Establishment:
Old Toad, Rochester, NY
The Toad has been a mainstay beer bar in Rochester for 10+ years and for good reason. Good selection of quality draughts and several engines for real ales. A recent visit finds an oak firkin atop the bar dispensing (by gravity) a fine, fresh real ale. Authentic English pub atmosphere. Highly recommended. |

The best brewpub in town without question for those who are serious about their beer. High quality, robust selections. Too many to name. Great atomosphere. |

I was pleasently surpised with the quality of the beer at this place. I had the six beer sampler, then settled into a couple pints of their nicely hopped pale ale. The food was very good too. Recommended. |
