Beer Quality Beer Selection Food Service Overall
Great Great Great Great Great

Establishment: Northampton Brewery / Brewster Court Pub, Northampton, MA

The food is uniformly quite good here, as are the beers. I've never had problems with the service. In fact, once I inadvertantly left the AmEx at the bar. About halfway back to the car, Steve (the bartender) came running up and returned it. The menu is not overly exotic or diverse, though the quality of the food lacks nothing. Great beer selection, plus beer can be sold to go. Worth a visit.

Establishment: Fox River Brewing Company and Restaurant, Appleton, WI

2 things come to mind that detract from this establishment. First, it is in the mall. It doesn't seem to 'fit' there. Minor gripe. Second, it is a little too 'commercial.' Minor, too. The beer is quite tasty and the food is always very good. Service has ranged from so-so to very good. Worth a visit. The same can be said about the Oshkosh location.

Establishment: Stone Cellar Brewpub / Appleton Brewing Company, Appleton, WI

Some good points regarding this establishment are the diverse (for WI) menu, free chips & salsa or pretzels, good prices, and interesting atmosphere. The building and brewery are quite old and the history makes for a nice place for dinner or just drinking. It is kind of dark and looks like an honest basement (a friend called it "dungeon"). Nevertheless, this contributes to the ambiance, in my opinion. The food was usually pretty good. The beer is ok, though not overly agressive. Being in a basement may make it a challenge for people with access problems....there is an elevator in the building but I don't know if it goes to the basement....probably does. Worth a visit. Free parking, comedy club upstairs.
