Beer Quality Beer Selection Food Service Overall
Awesome! Awesome! N/A Great Awesome!

Establishment: Copper Mine Pub, North Arlington, NJ

In terms of overall selection, this is the most diverse range of taps in North Jersey by far. If this bar was located in NYC or a bigger town it would be packed to capacity every single night.

The owner, Vito, has great taps that you cant find anywhere else and is always hosting different breweries and changing the selections.

The best thing about this place is you can get great beer for 6$ and not have to 8-10$ like your usual beer bar. He does not have crazy obscure beers from overseas, but in terms of rare US craft beers he has most if not all of them covered.

The only issue is that the bar DOES NOT have food. However, every food place in the area delivers to the bar because of the need. If they did serve food there, it would be a tremendous plus.

If you're in Jersey, and want to taste the best craft beers on tap, this place is a must visit.

Awesome! Awesome! N/A Great Great

Establishment: Spuyten Duyvil, Brooklyn, NY

359 Metropolitan Ave, look for the most obscure red door you've ever seen and you've found it.

I tracked this place down since its the #2 rated beer bar in the world according to several sites like ratebeer.com. The selection was insane, of the 40-50 bottles they had on their whiteboard, I'd only heard of a few. Beers are organized by country, with a wide selection for each country.

The bartenders are very good at knowing their stock and suggested some great beers that were all delicious.

The place is a bit small but I showed up around midnight and got to sit at a full table and enjoy myself with my crew. Great beer selection, and you will pay 8$+ for a bottle but they money will be well spent.

I need to go back, and visit similar places to confirm this #2 status but if you're looking for insane selection, and exploring really obsure, great tasting beers from all over the world, then definitely give this place a try.
