I've been to this restaurant 5 or 6 times. Love the food. The crabcakes are stuffed full of actual crab, not filler like one often gets. Quality of the steaks have ranged from Awesome to good, depending on whether they've been cooked to the desired level of "doneness", for momentary lack of a better word. They "have" a decent selection of beers on tap, but the two most recent times I've gone, they've been out of the beer that looked most intriguing to me. My wife and I purchased a growler there once for what I realized afterwards was an insanely high price. I think the growler was the equivalent of like 5 beers as far as quantity, and the price was around 20 bucks!!! That's NOT including the price of the growler itself! I think I agreed to purchase it on the premise that my calculations had to be off somewhere, that it was inconceivable they could be selling the to-go beer for that much, but sure enough, they were. So now we have a growler that we never get refilled. Anyway, the beer we purchased was a Kolsch, which we loved, but which subsequently was not available.
I haven't been to the place in years, but I used to love it. Awesome selection, good music on the jukebox, unpretentious, mellow crowd. Definitely a good time.
The food is fantastic and the staff are very friendly. This is not the place to come though if you are in a hurry, because I have always waited a while to get served. But I keep coming back and will continue to since the beer is great, the food is fantastic, and the staff are warm and friendly.
