After 3 days in a dry county, I was very ready to try the new Kentucky Bourbon Ale at the Bourbon Bar at Blue Gras Airport in Lexington. The bartender at the Bourbon Bar was very informative and a great ambassador for this ale. Very unique flavor with a real hint of Kentucky Bourbon. An excellent ale with a unique twist!
I was back in my old college area for a training meeting and had the opportunity to have lunch here. It appears that Lowell Brewing has been replaced/supplemented by the Concorde Brewery. I enjoyed the Concord Grape Ale with my lunch of Pork Tenderloin medalions (very good!). I am not a fan of fruit beers, but I very much enjoyed this Grape Ale! I did not have the chance to sample other offering, but, next time I am in town I will mack a point of stopping in.
I have been travel past this place for the past ten years and have never had the opportunity to stop. I did have the opportunity last evening, and I am glad I did. They were having a retirement party so the place was hoppin'. Enjoy 3 beers, a pint of the Seasonal Maple ale, a pint of the Cream Ale, and a sample of the cask conditioned Red Ale. All very good offerings! Only food I had was the fried oyster appetizer, very tasty! Do not miss this place while traveling up/down I-89, I wish I had stopped earlier.
Had dinner here with the family on vacation. Had the Peppercorn Burger. Would have been better if I could have had it cooked the way I wanted. Only cooks burger well done, State Law?? Beer selection lack any heavier beers (which I happen to prefer). White ale was my favorite. Had 3 Wheat beers ( I am not a Wheat beer fan). No Stout, porter, or amber ales! Darken it up a little people!
Had dinner here with the family on vacation. Had an excellent pork tenderloin! Enjoyed the sampler of each beer. My favorite being the scotch ale. Best beer selection in Grand Strand.
Had a very enjoyable dinner here on Monday evening. Enjoyed the sampler (9 beers!). The Eliot Ness, Rockefeller Bock and the Holy Moses stood out as excellent selections!! Had the Pretzel Chicken with the Edmund Fitzgerald Porter Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream for desert (very good!). Susan was a very good, attentive server. Enjoyed a very rainy night in the presence of great beer and food!
Had dinner here 2 nights this week while traveling to Younstown for work. Had the sampler (8 beers) Wednesday evening. Enjoy every last one! Had the excellent Porter and Bourbon Marinated chicken, very tasty. Thursday evening enjoyed my two favorite selections - Hearth Ale (Pumpkin Ales - YUMMMY!!!) and Deralement (very good!). Met a few nice people, good conversation, great beer, good food, good atmosphere - what's not to like!
Had the sampler of beers. Especially enjoyed the barleywine for dessert. Good beer, more "normal" crowd then the other beer establishment down the street. Would recommend to anyone travelto Columbus.
Restraunt that has microbrewery. ery trendy place that happens to serve a variety of beer/ales brewed on-site. Good food, beautiful people, OK beer. Depending on your mood you may or may not enjoy an evening here.
Only game in town. Visited there on a Wednesday night and place had a good crowd. I appears that there was a lapse in brewing, but, they are back brewing. Very good Stout! I recommend the frog legs!
