Awesome! Great Awesome! Good Awesome!

Establishment: Saint Francis Brewery and Restaurant, St. Francis, WI

For a Brewery the food was way better then the beer. My Girlfriend, Brother and I were traveling up from Chicago to buy some cheese when our GPS found this Brewery to stop at for some beer. The pretzels were delicious, the slow cooked beef melted in your mouth and my brother liked thed shepards pie.

The service was typical for a restaurant nothing fancy. The set up for beer was great they had a full eight count of 5 ounce samplers which we had and could share the beers we liked, my brother took the darks, i took the IPA's and the Wheet's while my girlfriend had the ales. The beer was pretty decent, tasted great but not quiet award winning in brewery circles, but for an average microbrew drinker they are pretty tastey.

I was amazed they even make their own soda and have it on tap which can be purchased in growlers also. It was one of more classy microbrews that wouldn't need to be on the show Bar Makeovers. Someone who started this place must have come from a restaurant backround caused it seemed Culinary Institute of America worthy. Only problems was they needed a more cheerful staff instead, can I get you anything else, now give me a nice tip and my paycheck waitress. I would have even liked the grumpy old lady who has sore feet and sits at your table to take your order rather then the polite 20 something working their way thru school.

Establishment: Moe's Tavern, Lee, MA

Great little local place tucked away behind the main street. The people of Lee are lucky to have this place, the locals are really nice to hang out with the bar tenders are knowledgeble and love to hear stories from tourist. The chalkboard lets you know the microbrews on tap and you can peak thru the glass coolers to see the cans. I went in with my Girlfriend and a Sunday evening for a couple of pints of different IPA's but the selection varied so much I could have been there all night. My girlfriend dragged me across the street to the Vietnamese Restaurant to eat though, they said they deliver to the bar also. It's worth a thrid and fourth visit

I'ld call this place an Appleby's with a bar. They have updated some of their 36 taps to microbrews like Magic hat # 9 &aragant bastard. Joiey the bartender was to busy to pay attention to a individual customer so of you want someone to talk to bring a friend. If you would like to know what a franchise beer chain would be, this would be it.@ ,

This place was a breeze to find on my GPS. Interesting location. I ordered a sampler from Cat. There was no middle ground on the beer. Their Pale Ale & Red were week and watery.but their Brown & Pelican Ale had great flavor. They had great seasonal beers. They list their beers as Organtic and some seasonals came unfiltered. The service was great but still no food. Cat my server said they were earning enough to pay the Brewer & the bottlers the rest are volunteers so treat them nice & tip big.

Great Awesome! Great Awesome! Awesome!

Establishment: 1702, Tucson, AZ

They don't make their own beer here but it seems like they have great connections and they have 50 tap beers that are always rotating.

It seems the owners know a lot of microbrewers from around the country and they all come in to drop off a few kegs or two.

The New Zealand waitress looks like a teenaged boy but really knows her beer. I asked for her recomandation on a Red and she brought me one of the best Red's I have ever had. I heard the next time I come in I probably won't get the same beer twice as they have a chalkboard for ordering instead of a beer menu.

It's a college bar so the Pizza is pretty good and huge slices. I like the gimmick of giving you a pizza cutting wheel as a knife.

If your tired of drinking the local stuff this is a great place to stop and find out whats going on beer wise in the rest of the country.

Establishment: Barrio Brewing Company, Tucson, AZ

I got into Tucson early to celebrate passover with my family. I found a flyer in a pizza place that said the Sonora Glass Blowing Factory was letting you blow your own beer mugs at this Brewery. I was there faster then you could say Oy-Oy-Oy!! I not only got a great beer mug but had some really great beers here.

They have a great selection, I had one of each one of their beers. They were all great microbrews but something just didn't stand out. Maybe because I have been to so many microbrews I am becoming desensitized, or maybe that their beers are great just not Awesome. In most microbreweries there seems to be one beer that stands out amongst the rest. Barrios has some really great beer and is a great place to start on the Tuscon Microbrewery Circut but doesn't seem to have one beer that stands out.

I loved the atmosphere the staff seems very helpful but was the typical, "What can I get for you?" When I told him I'm new here the Male bartender let me sample a few 3oz shots but kept shuffeling around serving & cleaning wasn't much of a talker let alone an entertainer.

Next trip I'm gonna try Nimbus before I bring my mug back to Barrio's.

Establishment: The Peekskill Brewery, Peekskill, NY

I went shopping in Monsey with a friend and we stopped in here to watch a New York Jets Playoff Game.

It's in a great location across the street from the MTA Metrolink Train Station. It was a little tricky to find if your driving here.

The service was decent even though the place was crowded watching the football game. The waitress got us everything we wanted and needed but was to busy to put the personal touch on and spend time talking about the beers.

This crowd in this place is what I would call Yuppiefied because it was a younger crowd that looked like they had money and would come in for a beer and a bite to eat without realizing how good the beers were.

The restaurant is located in 2 storefronts located around the corner from each other connected by a narrow hallway were the very small brewery is located. You can take the tour on the way to the bathroom.

They have a great selection of about 12 homebrewd beers. I couldn't see the beer selection menu very well because it was dark in the restaurant. The other problem was the brewery is so small that they did not have every beer selection in stock so all I could do is ask for my favorite Red Beer and hoped for the best. The beer was really awesome and tasted like it had a higher alcohol gravity then most microbrewries.

It's a great hangout place if your traveling between Poughkeepsie & Manhattan.

I kind of saddened that they didn't have a great selection of T-shirts like most Micro Breweries do so I didn't get one to advertise for them like I usually do.

Great Awesome! Good Good Awesome!

Establishment: Cave Mountain Brewing Company, Windham, NY

I was visiting friends in Hyde Park, New York and saw Cave Mountains ad in a local brewpub paper so I took a ride up on a Sunday afternoon.

When I walked in I was amazed that they had a Yuppie Brewpub in the middle of nowhere. It seemed like a great place to hang out after skiing, especially with the eclectic art on the walls and the couches in the back. When I went to the restroom I was amazed to see how small the set up was for such a big place. The brewing equipment looked like something I could set up in my garage and throw a BBQ in my backyard with. I was amazed that the brewmaster could put out the amount of beer he was with such small equipment. My hats off to him.

The Sunday afternoon crowd seemed pretty steady for a small place but the staff seemed bored to be there. The staff looked like college students & not a smile or joke in the house.

I like to start out by saying I am normally a Red Beer Drinker, with heavy hop flavors. So, I ordered a the 6-6-6 (6-6oz samplers for $6). I started with the Blonde seemed very bland, it seemed like it needed to be a bit more creamy, more hoppie or something to give it a kick, I would suggest to the brewmaster to try the Manhatten Beach Blonde, in the Manhatten Beach, California brewery to see what a great Blonde Beer taste like. As I went around the other beers I was impressed. They all had great flavor for what they were, but the only one that stood out seemed to be the Centenial IPA. If they could get that strong Hoppy Flavor in a Red Beer I would be happy.

I went to order food and with the atmosphere I thought the menu would be a little more then what you could through on a grill or deep fry. As a jewish beer drinker Pulled Pork Sandwhiches didn't work for me. I would have liked to see something like a salmoned burger or something more vegeterian. It seemed like a great place to even have a sushi guy.

I would love to go back with a bunch of my friends and keep the place hopping.

Great Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!

Establishment: Appalachian Brewing Company, Harrisburg, PA

After a long day visiting the HersheyWorld Museum and the Amish Country around Lancaster, Intercourse, Blue Balls and Virginville, Pa. I needed a beer.

Pubcrawler was down for renavations when I took off from New York to visit the Harrisburg, Pa area. I found this place thru the front desk clerk at the Baymont Hotel.

When my girlfriend and I walked in I thought I died and went to brewpub heaven. I always dreamed this is what a brewpub should look like. It's in an old brick building decor with glass windows to see the brew tanks. I got here late on a Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend and had no trouble getting a table.

The service was wonderful, maybe because it wasn't that crowded. I was kinda worried when I read the previous reviews but I had no problem ordering. The waiter was always there asking us if we needed anything. I did see some people coming out of an elevator but didn't realize what it was till I read the previous reviews and found out there was a 2nd bar upstairs. I would have liked to see it.

I ordered the Sampler which I thought was a little on the high side price wise ($9) but I couldn't complain with 8 six ounce glasses (thats like a 4 pack) when I realized it worked out cheaper then the pints. The only problem I had was the waiter didn't have a list of what was in the sampler so I had to guess what I was drinking. Out of the 8 beers 3 were good 2 were mid range and 3 were bad. I new the wheat beer was bad cause it was the one with the lemon in it, it just tasted like a flat IPA without any hazzey wheat color. 2 of what I thought were IPA's tasted watered down kind of like a light beer with no alcohol flavor. The one I really liked he thought was the Hoppy Trail followed by the darkest one they had at the time that looked like a brown and not a stout because it tasted more hoppie then a coffee or chocolate stout. I also like a darker beer that we couldn't figure out what it was. Next time I am in the area I would buy 1 pint at a time. My girlfriend ordered the homemade rootbeer over the homemade gingerbeer. It was the best homemade rootbeer we ever tasted.

The pretzel was a bit greasy or over buttered but it tasted good with the beer flavored mustard.

The atmosphere of the place is awesome even if it is located in a industrial area without any decent parking around. I wish all brewpubs were modeled after this place. It is the best one I have been to out of the 80 brewpubs and bars I have found thru pubcrawler.com.

Awesome! Awesome! Great Lousy Awesome!

Establishment: Gilded Otter, New Paltz, NY

I love the atmosphere of this place. Yes it is true, the brewpub tanks are right in the middle of this ski lodge type restaurant. The building is rock based on the outside and wood log bench tables and railings in the back.

The only problem I had here was as earlier mentioned I think they took some of the NitWits from town that walked by the big bay windows and hired them as waitress staff. The girl was always there when I had a mouth full of food asking if I needed anything then when I finally did need something I had to flag down the hostess to get her to find my waitress to order another beer. Her timing was so off it felt like she was late to a wedding and the reception. She had no clue about the beers but at least she knew enough to hand me a menu that explained the beer. When I asked if I could taste something so I didn't have to buy the whole pint she told me I had to buy a sampler for that and they charge $7.95 for 8 six ounce samples. I realized she was only a waitress with poor marketing training. I thought if I didn't like it whats the use of wasting good beer that someone else might drink. Sounded like she needed some training from Keegan Ale up in Kingston who has free sampling days.

From what I heard the menu use to be better. The hostest told me they change it every 6 months and the food has gone down hill over the last two years. It seemed like regular bar food to me which seemed to be a shame since they have a great Culinary School called the CIA just across the river. I ordered the Hamburger but it came with the fancy extras like a Kaiser Roll and Tomato, Onions and Lettuce on the side. It had a dap of Mayonase Bases Cole Slaw with no pickling that made it taste like eating mayonase straight from the jar and decent french fries. The burger was pretty tasty and very filling.

I tried to order a Chapter 11 Red Ale but they were all out of it because of the rotation of the tanks. I was very disappointed cause as in my other postings everyone knows I really love Red Ales. So I tried the Red Tail Lager which was very delicous. I was pretty suprised when I ordered a Chrimson lager and it tasted like a lighter version of the Red Tail Lager. Both beers were pretty awesome but I could see where they would be GABF worthy back when brewpubs where just coming out but nothing spectacular today. I do give them credit for rotating thier tanks and trying new stuff all the time. I just wish they had the timing down so they would have a Red Ale on tap all the time.

Great place to hang out and the town is a fun place when you want to get away from the stress of the big city. Great town to take Motorcycle ride to. Could be the next Sturgess.

Hope you like this place as much as I did!!!!!

Establishment: Molly Darcy's Traditional Irish Pub and Grill, Danbury, CT

Not that far off the 84 Highway with huge parking lot.

Very Classy place with just the right amount of bar junk on the walls to make it interesting.

I stoped in for lunch and they had a few regulars who were very nice. The tall red haired bartender was a bit snooty but he fit into the typical high class of this Irish Bar. He just went thru the motions of getting my beer and handing me a menu, nothing spectacular and no extra chit chat. The cool thing about it was they have Irish Music playing throughout the resturant so you don't have to put your money in the Jukebox. The Irish music fit in perfect with the Irish Menu and the Irish Moteef. It looks like a fun place to hang out for dinner. I would drive the extra distance to come here rather then Mahony's in Poughkeepsie.

They have a great selection of Irish and English beers on tap including Guiness, Kilian's Irish Red, Bass & Harps and the usual Macros. The beer was fresh. All they need in this place is to get a brewmaster and start making there own beer.

The Menu was a little on the high priced side so I didn't get anything. It looked like they have a great selection of Irish food like Bangers & Mash. They also have a lot of Salmon along with Meat Dishes. I remember I thought it was interesting that the Veggie Burger was the cheapest thing on the menu. The only thing that kept me from ordering was the prices.

Very fun place to hang out, or to bring a date, or your mother for mothers day.

Establishment: Olde Erie Brew Pub and Grille, Middletown, NY

This in NOT a BREWPUB. When I asked the bartender if they were planning on making thier own beers he shrugged his shoulders and walked off to talk to the regular old grumps at the end of the round circle bar. As you can see the service was horrible so I didn't even bother to try to order food.

It has the regular Bud, Miller, Guiness Taps nothing spectaular. At least it was fresh beer. I didn't see any bottle display showing what they carried in bottles which couldn't be much because all the bottled beers where hidden under the bar.

It was the cleanest bar I have ever walked into and the bathrooms sparkled like it was just remodeled. It seemed out of place in this older spanish neighborhood. Looked like almost ghetto but what do I know being from Los Angeles.

Establishment: Times Square Brewery, New York, NY

I read the reviews and I figured I am a tourist on the way back to Grand Central Station soI said what the hey.

I walked in at 4:00P.M. they had a nice tourist crowd but I still got a seat at the bar looking out the window. The bar is a nice 50's retro look.

The bartender was new from North Carolina so I got great service. He got my sampler and kept checking to see if I needed anything. He was answering all the typical tourist questions on where everything was located. He was a nice guy well tipped.

I felt sorry for him cause the beers were so bad. There was only one other brewery in Alhambra California that had worse beers then this place. When I got there they had a Blonde, Pilsner and four reds with no stouts. I could barely taste the beer over the water. It was like they needed to changed the tea bag. Every single beer I tasted was like they filled the glass with water then added beer flavoring. All I could tell myself is at least it isn't skank beer or infected with something. I know the local New Yorkers are very opinionated so I thought I would take a chance being a laid back Southern California Beer Drinker. But they are right this beer does suck. They must know their beer sucks also because they don't serve any other kind. Or maybe it is so bad Budwieser and Miller don't want thier beers anywhere near this place because it might go bad.

There are to many other bars and breweries in town. Try the others first before coming here.

Establishment: Tir Na Nog, New York, NY

For us tourist this place is located on 8th Ave between 33 & 34th St. Kitty Corner to Penn Station & the Garden. Looks like part of the lobby of the hotel.

This bar is perfect. It made me feel like I was in Ireland instead of the middle of New York City (Manhatten). As a lost tourist by myself I felt a little uncomfortable in my shorts and T-shirts amongst all the suits and ties but the Funny men behind the bar made me feel right at home. The decor has a nice dark wood feel with old time Shandelairs(sp?) and pictures from the 1800's. Like as if you were in a old pub in Ireland.

The selection of beers is limited to Irish beers which is fine with me because it fits the bar perfectly. I had the most perfect Guiness I have ever had outside of Dublin and I treated myself to a boilermaker with Killian's Irish Red and a Jameson Irish Whisky. I was walking out of here feeling mighty happy.

Its a bit of a walk from Grand Central Station but worth every step. I wish every tourist would take this detour just to see this bar.

Establishment: Monte Carlo Pub and Brewery, Las Vegas, NV

I don't understand why everyone is complaining about this place. This place is in the middle of the biggest party place in the United States and they are trying to cater to the crowds that come to Las Vegas to have a great time. If you don't like the dancing sit somewhere else and hail down a cocktail waitress in the casino.

This place has a great beer selection and more. I tried thier Red beer. It was very bitter. Not what I am usually use to tasting I thought it would be more smooth. So I moved on the the Pale Ale and it was the best one I have tasted in town.

They have cool promotional glasses and they have a 167 ounce pitcher with a tap handle on the bottom which I thought was cool looking. 167 ounces was aproximatly 6 - 22 ounce glasses.

The thing I love about this place is you can get the beer list and order free samples while your playing at the tables or slot machines. The cocktail waitress deliver it right to your slot machines. What a great service.

They also have tours of the brewery starting at 8:00AM when the brewmaster starts brewing. I missed the tours because I was up to late and overslept.

Try this place with an open mind and don't judge them on the atmosphere only.

Establishment: Big Dog's Brewing Company was Draft House Barn and Casino, Las Vegas, NV

I am glad the brewmaster of the Holy Cow is back in Buisness. The beer quality and taste is up to its wonderful standards. The taste of the Red and Pale Ale should be award winning.

This place is a bit hard to find but not that far from the strip. It seemed like only a short 2 or 3 mile drive up Rancho Rd north behind the Rio Casino.

I loved the beers but was in shock when I saw what the old Holy Cow turned into. The atmosphere looked like any regular old dumpy bar from back in the late 1970's. There was not as many slot machines to play while drinking the delicous beer. I even missed the self guided tours of the old Holy Cow where you could go ustairs and look and read how beer was made. If I didn't know the reputation of the old Holy Cow I would have skipped this place entirely and gone on to classier places like Monte Carlo or Ellis Island.

My only advise for this place is not to judge a book by its cover. The inside and outside might look like a dump but the beer and appitzers are great.

Yes as mentioned before this place is a bit of a distance from the strip but a short 7 mile drive up Sahara and right on Fort Apache.

I had already eaten at to many buffets before I got to this place so I didn't even look at the menu to know what a great pizza they had.

I sat in the bar and ordered the Red Beer while my girlfriend played the video poker that was installed in the bar. When I got the Pale I ordered it in the Chicago Mug.

The service at the bar was a bit slow. I had to flag down the bartender 3 times to get a drink but Omar the Persian guy at the door was very cool. He was all out of T-Shirts in my size but he ran around like a chicken without a head to find me something to take home with me to remember my experience which was pretty cool and funny.

When I went to cash out I only had to pay for the mug as you get free beers if your playing video poker at the bar.

The atmosphere was cool in an old brick building with the resturant area in the back and the rap around bar in the front and around to the side. Very nice place I would go back to again to try the pizza and hang out in the resturant.

Great little place off the beaten path but worth the drive. I went for lunch but it was closed. As I was pulling away I noticed a guy in the driveway flag me down. It was the owner. The owner lives above the bar and runs an awning buisness during the day. He runs the bar in the evenings only. He opened up the bar just for me which was cool. I had Keegan Capitol One Ale. The owner needs help in the awning buisness he hit me up to help him in his day time buisness so if anyone is looking for work stop in and ask for the owner. He is a great guy. Establishment: Goodfella's Inn, Hopewell Junction, NY

I was in the neighborhood and gave this place a 2nd chance. The weather was much warmer out this time.

They still had a staff that wasn't to well rehearsed on getting people their beers but at least there were 3 bartending girls this time who were getting drinks. Down side was you still had to wave them down to get their attention but this time they knew were the beer was.

The beer was tasting much better now that the taps were unfrozen. I moved out to the patio to listen to all the working peoples stories about what was happening on thier jobs when I looked out on the grass and noticed a horseshoe game. I thought this was the coolest thing so I started throwing and a few girls came to play with me. I hadn't noticed it before because it was covered by snow. It was way more fun then playing darts.

Great mix of people at this bar which included Harley Bikers and Correctional Officers (Jail Cops). Very freindly crowd. Much nicer then Mahoney's where I have to follow rules about which direction my hat is facing to drink.

Beware I notice a police station about 1/4 mile west on Route 52 near Route 376. You can have the bartender call for a free ride if you to tipsy. Free rides are cheaper then DUI's. Plan before you drink!

Establishment: Hobnobbin Pub North, Hyde Park, NY

This place is located practically across the street from the CIA (Culinary Institue of America). It is down the street from Hyde Park Brewery and is close enough to make sure to go to both places in the same day.

This is a great Local Yockal pub to hang out at. Its almost like the television bar Cheers where some dramatic story is always going on with the regualars. Even the Bartenders get in the act. The women Bartenders are cute but its the drama they cause with the customers that makes this place a fun place to hang out at. The guy bartenders look like hot college student guys and looks like some of the college girls come to look at them. The beer caps screwed in along the edge of the bar is a bit much but thats the most annoying bar crap hanging from the walls.

The beer selection is pretty good with about 12 beers on tap and is very MicroBrew friendly. I love the Magic Hat # 9 they carry and YuengLings on Tap also. They also have a great Happy Hour. $2.25 for beer on tap between 2:00-4:00PM and 5:00-7:00PM so its like a double happy hour.

I don't know what they put in thier Meat but they have the Best most Delicious Hamburgers in the state of New York. I could just eat the meat and the bun. Skip the wings and go for the Hamburgers. I prefer the Hamburgers at Hobnobbin over the yuppie food at Hyde Park Brewery.

They have a huge parking lot. Watch out for the Hyde Park Police. They are sneaky once in a while like to hide in the driveways of the adjoining buisness waiting for drunk drivers to come out.

Establishment: Keegan Ales, Kingston, NY

I finally found this place tucked away in an industrial complex part of Kingston off a narrow street. They have thier own parking lot which was cool cause street parking is hard on the narrow street.

There is not much to say about the three beers on tap that haven't already been said. They all taste great. The drinking room has gotten I little more complex with some couches and coffee tables as well as some high stools.

They still do not have a resturant set up but after talking to Tom Keegan one of the owners they were working on it. He gave me and my girlfriend a tour of the brewery in the back which can be seen thru a glass window of the bar.

Thursday and Fridays from 3-7 PM are Happy Hours which Tom Keegan gives out free taster cups of about 6 ounces and nobody stops you from getting seconds or thirds. They only have 3 beers on tap. I was kind of disappointed cause I like red beers and they didn't have any. He also doesn't make a hefeweizen which I thought was odd cause a lot of people enjoy those beers also. This is why I give it a SoSo in Selection.

The service is great nothing to complain about and the customers help you out telling the story and introducing you to the owner if you haven't figured it out when you walk in the door.

This is the coolest brewery I have been to and would come back to fill my crawler anytime. It matches the Red Car Brewery in Torranc California for being the coolest place around town.

It is located in the Parking lot of the Poughkeepsie train station. It looks like a great place as soon as you walk in but that were it ends.

As soon as I walked in and made it to the downstairs bar the lady bartender asked me to turn my baseball cap to face forward. I was very offended from the greating. She could have politely asked me and told me we don't dress like thate around this bar. It is January in New York of course I would be wearing a hat to cover my head from the cold weather. Who cares if my baseball cap is facing forward or backward, we are in a bar for Christ sake. I was the only one in the bar other then the owner chatting up the suits from Budweiser on how the can get the specials promos set up.

They only have 6 beer taps the usual Budweiser set up. No Miller promos. They had a 3 Irish taps but thats where the Irish part ends. It was set up for an american Budwieser crowd. The promos they were trying to set up was to get the college crowd in. The only people I can see coming here are the suits that get off the train from Manhatten because of the location.

I wasn't offered a menu to even see what they had to eat. Mostly because the bartender was worried about making signs for the Martini Specials.

I wouldn't come back here for beer if my life depended on it. I would rather have gone up Route 9 to Hobnobbin where the burgers are the best I ever had.

I would avoid this place at all cost.

I stoped in after doing some banking on Madison Ave. to get warmed up. This place was a little tricky to find as the entrance was on 51st St and not on 6th Ave.

The Atmosphere was pretty cool, not to corporate but not to sleaze bar like either.

I had the full 8 sampler which was the 5 regular taps and 3 specialty taps. I liked the Cornhusker Lager the best. The Stout ran a pretty close 2nd tasted very coffee like and was suppose to have won some awards back in the day. They also had an interesting Honey Stout Specialty Tap.

I had the mini hamburgers which were pretty good but I have had better bar burgers.

I got there around 3:00P.M. and the day shift bartender from Conneticut was pretty cool real nice guy to chat with. The night shift switched out at 4:00P.M. and there was a very sexy skinny Asian Girl with a dragon tattoo on her back. I wasn't dressed like typical suit New York Fashion so she didn't pay to much attention to me so I left.

Yes this place is outragesly expensive. I wouldn't mind coming here if I had a job with an expense account but other wise as an average Joe, I could not afford to hang out here on a Friday Night.

I love the atmosphere of this place. It is located in Mansion Row directley across from the FDRoosevelt Presidental Library. I think his spirt comes across Route 9 to come have a beer here as he is buried on the grounds of the Library like Elvis lies at Graceland in Memphis.

The Rough Rider Red was the best beer they have the Blonde and the S.O.B. seemed kind of watered down.

The cheese soup and the fish and chips were great. The french fries were big steak fat fries mixed in with sweet potato fries. It was delicious it made up for the water downed beers.

The service was wonderful the blonde jewish girl with the nice rear end was very helpfull.

Even the requlars were very talkative and friendly. Not the typical drunk types just the local joe stoping by for a beer and leaving.

Awesome place would visit again and again!!!!!

Beware of the hours at this place. I tried to stop in about 12:30P.M.(Lunch Time) and the parking lot had 3 cars in it.

The door was unlocked so I walked in. Nobody was inside so I walked behind the bar and poured myself a beer from the tap that looked like a Blonde Girl on the Tap Handle.

I waited for an hour and nobody came in or out so I left $1.00 in my empty glass. The beer was delicious but I was scared I was gonna get in trouble for stealing beer.

The chalkboard on the wall said the price of the wings has gone up to 12 cents each. I couldn't order any because nobody was around.

I didn't get any service because nobody was around either. It seemed like a classy resturarnt with a bar.

As I left I noticed a small sign that said closed Mondays and open from 5:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M. the rest of the week. It must be nice when your whole staff has a day job. To bad they are losing out on the lunch crowd

The name of this place has changed from Conca Dora Silician Resturant & Bar to Ugly Gus Cafe & Bar.

I had a little trouble finding the place as its on a one way street in a residential district in a converted house behind a church. They use the churches parking lot for parking.

My girlfriend had Calamari and Philly Steak Sandwhich, I had the Hummus & burger.

I drank an Old Capitol Ale. It was so good I ordered a second one. The selections are average as it seems they cater to a upscale shirt and tie crowd. The food and atmosphers is way better then the beer selection.

The service started off well but it seemed to slow down as the night went on from the waitress with the nice toosh and tounge ring.

I would come back here just for the food.

This bar is in a cute neighborhood overlooking Vassar College where Jaqueline Buveia-Kennedy-Oanasis went to college.

It is a very Houtie Toutie Bar Resturant. Went I first walked in there were a half a dozen suits with well dressed ladies. I felt out of place with my T-shirt and baseball cap.

This have about 9 beers on tap very limited selection but the ones they have are top of the line beers like Chamey and Guiness. I had a Magic Hat # 9 on tap and an Lucky Dog Old Scratchy Amber Ale which were both very delicious.

The food was way overpriced I guess to make up for the cheap beer prices, so I didn't order anything. The French Onion soup looked good but was way to much for and order of $4.00.

The service was okay but the lady bartender didn't do anything special for me other then get my beer. She was not much of a conversationalist.

The atmosphere was just another bar nothing special it was more set up for the resturant crowd which didn't impress me. I don't think I would go out of my way to go here uneless someone else asked me to because there are so many other cool looking bars in the Poughkeepsie area.

I just moved from Los Angeles, California to Upstate New York. This was the first official bar I stoped at to review.

Someone in management really knows there selection of bottled and tapped beers but it stops there. The young girl bartender had no idea where the great selection of bottled beers were and it took forever to get served if you ordered something other then a MacroBrew (bud, miller.

I am not use to the cold weather yet but I have never seen a tap freeze up like at this place. I ordered a Scaranza and it wouldn't come out of the tap because it froze up. I then ordered a Broklyn Lager and that wasn't working either so I ordered it in the bottle. The dufus girl bartender gave me a Broklyn Hefewiez that was a year old. I don't like Hefewiez beers especially when they are a year old. So I settled into a could of Yuengling Lagers on Tap which were pretty tastey.

I like the working class atmosphere of this bar, it looks like a converted house and would be a great place to hang out in the summer time with the outdoor tables. Looked like a lot of happy hour people were stopping in after work. The people that stopped by looked like they had no idea of what a great selection there was bottled there and it tasted like a lot of it was getting stale because of the uneducated staff and customers.

It looks like they need to educate the staff to push the products because its is getting stale sitting on the shelfs. I couldn't get the bartenders attention long enough to order food so I just drank my beer and left.

I like the atmosphere of the place I just wish they would hire someone at the bar who knew what the hell they were doing.

Okay I traveled from San Pedro all the way thru Long Beach. This was my 5th stop today . Two beer pubs were closed by the time I got to this place.

I got here at 5:30P.M. and I almost fell over when I saw the Really Hot Asian Bartender. I didn't get a chance to warm up to her by the time she had her shift change at 6:00P.M. The white girl who took over for her was total opposite in personality. The Asian bartender was friendly and the White young girl who took over for her was totally cold.

I put in my money at 5:45 to listen to the Juke Box. There were 5 guys in the bar. Two were drunk, two were playing pool and me. When the Monday Night Football Game came on at 6:05P.M. the white bartender turned off the JukeBox. I told her I just put in $5 worth of music and she told Me I don't care I have to turn it off because of Monday Night football. One of the two drunks said I can watch the football game with the music playing. She said NO I hate this music anyway. I finished my beer and left.

They have the regular Macro Brew Taps which include Budweiser and Miller's but they also have Sierra Nevada. They have 34oz. Glasses as well as Scooners.

Parking would be better around back.

I didn't try any of the food because I was full from all the other stops I made today.

I would come back during the day to make friends with the Asian Bartender who is studying to be a Register Nurse.

I came down Ocean Ave. to 2nd Ave. I passed up quite a few better looking Pubs including a B.J.'s Pizza Palor and Brewery to stop here only to be disappointed.

It has a Great selection of Irish Beers, but noting as sepectacular as the Yard House or Red Car Brewery in Torrance.

I tried an appetizer called the New Potato which were mini Potatos dipped in Buffalo Wing sauce. It was pretty good but just another Hot & Spicy Appetizer to get you thirsty to buy more beer.

The regulars were pretty flirty as was the bartender.

I loved the service but hated the crap hanging on the wall atmosphere. I would rather have gone down the block to B.J.', Yard House or Red Rock Corporate Brewery's.

When I made it here I freaked out. The 10 story building next door was being remodeled and the Promenade looked like a mess. This place was closed and the outdoor patio looked like it was also under construction. It had tables everywhere. Chairs stacked up against the rail. Cigarette butts and old glasses left outside on the tables. I look thru the windows to see if this place was closed down but saw all the taps and tables and chairs set up. If I was a health inspector I would have failed this place. I will never come back to this place. There are plenty of other great bars in Long Beach. I just happened to type in the 310 Area Code in the Pubcrawler search engine when I noticed this place pop up that didn't come up when I went thru the Guide Los Angeles So I decided to try it since it was close by.

The Beer selection is very week. They just have American Macro Brews on Tap. The usual Budweiser and Millers. Yet they do carry Sierra Nevada that always taste great. The Sierra was a little pricey at $5 a pint.

I didn't try any of the food because I wasn't hungry and the bartender was kinda busy to hand me a menu.

The service was great. The Bartender got me what I needed even tough she was very busy.

They layout of this place is pretty amazing. If you want a great view of the Pacific Ocean get there early and go upstairs and get a stool at the window or outside on the balcony patio. Its first come first serve upstairs. Downstairs you can people watch on Venice Beach where the Bikini's always fit just right. They have street parking at meters that can get kind of hectic in front of the place, and an overpriced beach parking right next door. If you get lucky enough you can go a block in either direction and find free street parking but don't count on it especially on warm weekend days.

Its worth hanging out at just to watch the girls go by or guys whichever your preference.

All the previous reviews tell the story.

It is overpriced but has a great selection of beers. It has 150 beers on the menu over 200 on tap. The food is great but way overpriced. And Yes they got thier name by having glasses that are 3 feet tall hense the name Yard House. They also have 1/2 Yards and pints. I had a Yard Glass of Portland Honey Beer which cost $22 and if I broke the glass they would charge me an extra $20.

The things that have changed since I have last been here is the city of Long Beach is charging for the Parking in the Park across the street so you might as well park in the Shoreline village Lot. They have banned Cigar Smoking on the patio over looking the Queen Mary. They have also taken out the display case with the Cigars and T-Shirts.

I am sad to say this place is going Corporate like Rock Bottom, Gordon Birsh, Oggi's and BJ's Pizza. I will probably stop going back here because it seems to be losing a little bit of its soul every time I come here.

This place didn't impress me at all. First of all it was in what seemed like a gang infested neighborhood. When I got there at 4:00P.M. There were a ton of kids and school buses driving down the street.

Beware street parking is at a premium and there are police driving by to watch the gangs and kids running around.

When I got in I went to pee and check out the place. They had several pool tables in the back but nobody was playing. They have a lot of memorablia on the walls which was the coolest thing about this place.

At least they had Harp's on tap. They also had Sierra Nevada but they throw a loop in it by putting Pabst Blue Ribbon on Tap also.

I read the previous reviews and tried the pickled Eggs because the seemed to be selling pretty fast. I almost died, I couldn't stop gagging. I had to drink 3 Harps to wash down the taste. It was the most horrible thing I ever tasted.

The service was pretty bad. They had four bartenders three of them hung out with the regulars at the end of the bar the forth didn't have time to answer my questions about buying a T-shirt.

I would drive the extra time to go the EJ Malloys. If I was in a Yuppie mood I would go to Belmont Shore Brewery, The Yard House or Rock Bottom which is not to far away.

I use to hang out at this place with a group of people when I worked at Universal Studios. We use to go listen to the Jazz Bands on the Patio on Sunday nights. This is the first time I have been back here in 4 years.

This is a way better English Pub then Lucky Baldwin's in Pasadena. It doesn't seem quite as English as Ye Old Kings Head in Santa Monica. It still has the great dart games in the back but the Patio is the place to be seen.

The Beers seem more Irish then English because of the Guiness & Harps. The menu is very English but I didn't order anything.

The Service was great. Ashley was the cute bartenders name and she was the owners Daughter. Her dad was suppose to be a famous musician who played bass in bands like Rolling Stones.

I love hanging out on the patio drinking beers. I wish every bar in Los Angeles had a patio like this. The Yard House in Long Beach has a patio that comes close to this but they need a fountain and a band.

This is the first time I have been to Barney's in years mostly because it was to crowded and there is never any parking in the early 1980's when I came of age.

The parking has gotten even worse and they have taken away a lot of taps from what I remember. I was reading the extensive menu that the management changed in 1998. It looks like they opened up the bar area from what I remember as a small cramped bar space and a let you look over the large resturant.

This has become mostly a cool old time resturant like what I remember my dad use to take us to when he use to drive back east on Route 66.

They have a very Yuppie Bar Selection on Tap which consist of FireStone, Sierra Nevada, XX Dos Equis, Bud Light & Harps and many more on tap. They also have a pretty average bottle selection that you can find in any supermarket with a large beer section.

The Menu is pretty cool because it reads like a newspaper. You could be there for hours reading thru it. This place was started by a guy named Barney Anderson in 1920 who added on the bar after prohabition in the 1930's. It looks like it has gone back to its roots as a Chilli Resturant. Get it Chilli's have beans in it hense the Beanery name. He sold it in the early 1970's when it became trendy with the music crowd as it is not to far off the Sunset Strip.

Lisa the Bartender was pretty cute and pretty helpful. But there was a ton of regular macho guys trying to hit on her so I just drank my delcious beer.

I wouldn't mind hanging out here but it seems to old and out dated. I would bring a date here just for nastalgia purposes.

They don't have all this bar junk hanging all over the walls. It seems pretty classy when the band came in at 9:00PM.

The selection is a bit weak, they only serve whatever they have brewed themselves. The Pale Ales were really awesome.

I loved thier huge Onion Rings and the regulars must love the food because the resturant was packed.

It was worth the traveling. If you don't like the entertaining staff or the regulars at the bar you can always read the beer books displayed in the window and maybe if you are nice they will take your picture and put it in thier photo albums.

The service can get a bit slow on the patio but the waitresses were nice once you flagged them outside.

I started out at 6740 bar in Whittier. I got a bit typsy so it made me forget about the bad experience I had trying to get to P.E. Cole's in Downtown Los Angeles last week. This place is near Little Toyko. Beware it is the back of a parking lot in an old brick building, I almost past it 3 times.

This place is in line with the Bonaventure Brewery. Great MicroBrews, I had a Pale Ale and Amber Ale which tasted great. If you get tired of this place you can head over to the Bonaventure it is not that far away.

I didn't even try to get a menu to eat because the bartender was to busy playing with his laptop computer in the back resturant area he didn't even care about the customers. I tried to ask the waitress about the T-Shirts and she told me to ask the bartender. When I asked the bartender he said they don't have any T-shirts so I asked why are they hanging above the door that buy one. He shrugged his shoulders and walked away.

This place has potential but I guess the staff is tired of dealing with stuck up lawyers and detectives all day. The bad attitude of the staff brought my overall stay here down to a good instead of great.

When I started to head here I was thinking Gangster 'Hood. This Bar is in a cute neighborhood called Uptown Whittier which could compete with Old Town Pasadena or 3rd St. Promanade in Santa Monica.

Neighborhood Parking was cool. This place has the room to put some tanks in and try brewing their own beer but looks like they obted for the dance floor instead. They have about 20 beers on tap but it was kinda dark in the back and couldn't read all the tap handles. So I played it safe and ordered a Sierra Neveda to Start then 4 more I.P.A's after that.

The food was pretty good. I had Plantain Appetizer(fried bannana) that is a specialty in places like cuba or the phillipines. I had the Carne Asada Tacos that were a bit greasy but went good with the beers.

The regulars are very friendly. They make you feel more at home then the staff. I never got the bar tenders name because I was having great conversations with the regulars. Heather is a new waitress only working there a year and has a cute body so the ugly one must be gone. Ok I stoped in here on a really cold night. Its a short 1/2 block walk to the beach. The only problem is you have to beat your way thru the tourist and over the sleeping homeless.

I have to compare this place to Lucky Baldwins in Pasadena because of the English influence but thats where its stops. This place is WAY BETTER!!! then Lucky Baldwins. It has real English Bar Tenders and real English customers. It is very roomie in here.

I don't like English beers but they have a great selection of them, but not much else.

The service is good when you can fight your way up to the bar or wait a while to grab a waitress. The Bar tender was very nice when I had a chance to chat with her.

I had chicken strips that were very delicious. But wished they had more of a selection on the menu.

I would feel right at home at this place if I were an englishman watching a football (soccer to americans) on the teli or at Epcot visiting and English Pub.

Okay here is my story!! It has all been said in th previous reviews.

I couldn't choose a beer because of all the great selections. But I did order Red Hook, Kona Long Board and a Killian's Red.

The only food I saw was the $1 Small or $2 Large Basket of Peanuts.

There was only 1 Bartender at 12:00 Noon and it was busy by 1:00PM with the regulars. So got no personal service.

I have seen the same crap on the walls at Webers in Reseda in the San Fernando Valley this past weekend but this place had a twist. Their crap on the walls had a ton of tap handles mounted on the ceiling in the back room with the pool tables which I thought was really interesting but not as homey as the Snake Pit on Melrose in Hollywood.

The only reason I drove this far is because this place was on the news. Here is the news story as I heard it: Girl gets drunk at this bar and has friends call 1-800-4MY-TAXI for a designated driver. She never made it home in a timely fashion so friends call neighbors. Neighbors see Taxi outside so they go check and find her in back seat unrobbed with Taxi Driver. She claims rape. The police let the Taxi Driver off 3 Days later claiming it was consentual sex. I thought if all the chicks in this bar are this easy I might get lucky.

Guess What? after 3 hours I did get lucky in a 3some with a couple.

This Bar was well worth the 45 mile one way trip from Hollywood.

I had a large 32oz. Glass of Sierra Nevada. Previous reviewers say the Buffalo Wings were great. I thought they were just ok. Nothing like Gators in Wheeling Chicago. It was kind of interesting ordering thru the big lips that give a view to the kitchen.

The service is still horrible. I had a Thai Lady Bartender with baby teeth. She was more interested in the Day Shift Bartender selling makeup on the side then serving her customers. She did not even know which remotes ran the televisions to put the sound on for the Lakers Games. Don't get me wrong I love hot asian girls running a bar, but the thai girls at Que's Riverbottom Bar & Thai Grill in Burbank put on a better show.

The regulars are a mixed breed of sports fans and regular valley drunks. But it goes well with the wagon wheels, stuffed bears, model ships & classic posters hanging from the cieling.

I got clostriphobic at this place even though it was empty at lunch time on a Monday. They have a wierd Sandwhich shop in the front making the bar in the back very small. They try to make it a small English Pub feel but it makes the atmosphere wierd.

The service was okay typical can I get you a beer/menu conversation.

If your not into European Beers skip this place. The only thing I recognized on tap was Sierra Nevada. They have English, Belgen, and Irish beers on tap. Mostly Dark and Brown's. I had a Christmas Brown Special and a Craftsman Pale Ale which had Orange in it. I give them credit for having an original selection but if your into MicroBrews or American Beers this place is not for you.

The food is english style like fish and chips or bangers and mash. I had a grilled cheese cause I love a good Hamburger or Pizza America style but didn't want to drink on an empty stomache.

Even though the selection is good for a european style I wouldn't go back here even if someone asked me too. I would take the 3 block walk in any direction to either Crown City Brewery on Raymond & Del Mar or the Yard House in the mall just up Colorado. It doesn't suite me as an american beer drinker.

Great Awesome! So So Great Good

Establishment: Alcatraz Brewing Company, Orange, CA

The Location is great in an outdoor California Mall. The Atmosphere is cool. They set it up with San Fransico Monuments inside like the Golden Gate Bridge, Water Tower and the booths are set in the Cliffside.

The beers are really good. I had the Searchlight, The Pelican Pale Ale, and the Big House Red. The Quaility was awesome but I thought they had them listed wrong (this is why I droped it down to a Great Rating). The Pale Ale tasted more like a Red and the Red tasted more like a brown. The brown tasted more like a stout. They were all delicious but when the brewmaster asked what I thought I told him the truth and he got offended and walked away. They also have 2 heifeweizens on tap. They are not my style. The beers are really good though.

The food is way over priced. It was $9 - $12 for a burger at lunch time. I had what amounted to chicken strips. They gave me 3 huge chicken strips and 2 dipping sauces. If I had 4 people someone would have been cheated out. I like smaller portions broken up into 6 or 8 so I can share. It tasted ok but was way over priced. It sounded like they were making up for the cheap beer prices.

The service was nice got everything I asked for but the bartender didn't have that extra pizzaz like she was just doing her job. The night shift came in sick claiming someone else called in sick before him. I didn't want to be served by a person with the flu so I left.

Its a fun place to stop while your shopping but I wouldn't go out of my way to hang out here.

Establishment: BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, Burbank, CA

This BJ's took over the old Bobby McGee's Location. This Bj's is a little bigger then the BJ's on Huntington Drive near Santa Anita Race Track but smaller then the one in Canoga Park.

I think this place is the perfect Corporate MicroBrewery. They have 6 of thier own Microbrews on tap 7 if you count the specialty beer. The Quality of the beer is Awesome at all 3 locations that I have been to so far. I had my favorites the Blonde, Pirhana Pale Ale, and Jerimha Red. There isn't a bad microbrew in the house.

I had the Jalapeno Poppers and an Individual Cheese Pizza. The food was delicious and the Pizza wasn't as greasy as BJ's on Huntington Dr.

The Service is way better then Canoga Park. Bartender was friendly and talked baseball but wish they had better looking waitress.

They only reason why I could not give the establishment an overall awesome is because of the parking. They tried to charge me for valet on a rainy day and wouldn't let me self park. I think they like to keep your keys to keep you from drinking and driving. If you are creative you can find parking in the neighborhood and walk a couple of blocks. The Location is kitty corner to the double tower high rise Holiday Inn in Burbank

My brother and I were staying in Glenview for a cousins wedding and stoped in this place because it was just up Milwalkee Ave.

Its a good neighborhood bar. The beer selection is the standard is so typical of a beer bar. The standard Budweiser/Miller wars going on. They do have the popular midwest beers called Old Style and Goose Islandthat we don't get in the Los Angeles area. They don't try to import a Gator Beer from Florida to match the name of the bar. My brother and I had a pitcher of Goose Island that was very tastey and had good quality for an amber beer.

We ordered the buffalo wings because of the previous suggestions that they were good. They were the meatiest, largest buffalo wings I have ever had. They weren't overly vinegared as most bars do in California. They are the best Buffalo Wings I have ever had and I don't normally order them because of the vinegar.

We walked in at 2:00P.M and the bar had 3 small crowds and not one table was cleaned. There was a busboy who was doing everything else but cleaning tables. We had to push glasses and plates out of the way to sit at the bar. It took Margaret the Bartender until close to 4:00P.M. to clean up the place. Margaret has the personality of a typical European Women, we tried to make conversation but didn't want to know from us because we weren't regulars.

The bar is a great place to play darts or watch a game but remember to bring your own friends because they aren't to friendly with outsiders at this bar.

This bar is way better then Father's Office on Montana and not that far away.

They have a great selection of domestic and some unusual beers like Redhook on tap. This is an Irish based bar so if you like Guiness, Bass or Harps and are on the Westside this is the place for you. The owners must be Boston Based Irish because they love the Boston Red Sox's.

The Boneless Buffalo Wings had a bit to much vinegar for me. But it helped me drink more beer.

The Redhook was Flat, and the Bass wasn't pouring well tonight but tasted fine.

This bar has more room to watch a game then the Snake Pit on Melrose but has the same Personality with Awesome Bartenders and regular Joe Six Pack Customers. There were a few couples in tonight and a couple of drunks. But there are plenty of hide away spots to hang out at in this bar and there is a continus Pool Game going on in the back room.

This is a typical corporate overpriced microbrewery. They make awesome beer and mediocore food. But it is so corporate the bartenders and servers have this snobby attitude.

I like the last person's comments about the YardHouse down the street. They have a nicer attitude better overpriced food and the gimmick of glasses that are 3 feet tall.

If I want to go for the corporate microbrewery I would go to BJ's Pizza for cheaper priced great food. If you don't want to travel to far try Red Car in Torrance for a Sole Propritor great beers with good food.

This bar is off the beaten path in a neighborhood that seems strange. This is why it was probably empty during the lunch hour because the neighbors don't know what a classic place they have.

The chicken strips I had during lunch were delicious.

The Bartender was nice I was the only one in the bar and she spent time filling up ketchup bottles instead of making conversation.

The beer tasted good but the selection was weak. They had some microbrews but not very many. The only thing I saw was Firestone and Sierra Neveda. If I was going for beers I would go to the Snake Pit on Melrose. If I was going to meet someone in a fancy neighborhood bar I would take them here.

It was a typical bar wasn't even worth trying to order something to eat. I would have rather played pool or ping pong if it wasn't for the crazies singing karoke.

The bartender was hanging out with the locals getting them drunk. One of them was drunk and tryed to sell girl scout nuts to everyone. The girl bartender just served me my beers when I made eye contact with her and had to raise my glass for service.

Don't spend the time to travel to this place. Skip it and go the extra few blocks to Naja's on the pier. At least Naja's has a band over the Karoke and has way more selection of beers. Naja's is walking distance.

They don't have very many beers on tap but they have Rogue Dead Ale and Angel City on tap. Great Selections for MicroBrew Fans. They have plenty of MicroBrew bottles.

I had Chicken and Mash Potatoes. The Mash Potatoes would have tasted better if it was Garlic Mash Potatoes instead of with gravey. The Chicken was great but had to ask for BBQ sauce to livin' it up.

Vincent the Bartender was a nice guy and kept the place lively. He paid attention to all 8 customers that were in here at 5:00P.M. I don't understand why this place is so empty it seems like a nice hang out by the beach.

I met one of the owners who said they brew their own beers offsite because they didn't have room to do it in the bar. This bar is very small a but a great atmosphere.

The beer was great for what they had.

A vendor walked in and had us sample the Sweet Potato fry's. They were delicious and not as oily as the ones at Father's Office in Santa Monica.

I ordered a Yard of Portland Honey Beer. It was very tastey. But very Expensive!!! $22.00 for what amounted to 4 beers in one glass.

I ordered a Steak Sandwhich with sweet potato french fries. It was very delicious also. Cooked just the way I like it "Burnt".

The Staff wasn't to friendly. They were just going thru the motions of order, serving, checking then billing. I was the only one on the patio and was told I couldn't smoke a cigar because it was to offensive. I said who am I offending Nobody is out here? The waitress said thats the rules. I guess this is this places yearly review. As you probably read earlier this bar is in a mini shopping mall which seems pretty common for this suberb of Los Angeles.

The Atmosphere is very local which I liked. The beers were better then I expected. In the sampler set they not only let you taste thier four brews but four of the guest brews for a total of an eight sampler set. All the beers were great. I thought the Hefewiez was a little flat but I don't normally drink Hefewiez. The Stout tasted like Guiness.

I like the variety on the menu. I had the BarBaQue Chicken Sandwhich and it was delicious. The appetizers looked real interesting. I had a chicken cream cheese roll with vegatables. They serve it cold and it was good but it tasted better when I brought it home and heated it up as a leftover. I was thinking I should have had them heat it up at the resturant.

The service needs some work. The waitress seemed like she was going thru the motions with no personality. She took my order ran off dropped off the food without a word. Then came back to see if I was ok but if I told her the food was horrible it probably would have still walked off and wouldn't have listened. I asked for a doggy bag for my food and told her I was gonna have another pint or two when she rushed up with my bill and my packed food like she was in a hurry to get me out of there. I did order a pint of the red & pale ale anyway.

Great Resturant Atmosphere. If I lived in this nieghborhood I would be a regular here.

I was at this place a few years ago when it was called Stuffed Pizza & Brewery. It was sold to Oggi's and gone Corporate. They do not brew beers at this location any more. I asked what happened and the Bartender said the new owners bought several MicroBrewery's in Southern California and are brewing in a centeralized location and shipping in the kegs.

They have a pretty wide variety of MicroBrews that they make. It is pretty good quailty but its missing something in the flavoring. The Red and the Pale Ale are a bit bitter. If they were a little smoother they might win some awards.

I ordered a pizza. It was Okay but again like the beer it was missing something. It needed a little more flavor in the tomato sauce like oregino or garlic.

The staff was nice enough but they acted like typical suberbanites. They were more worried about when they were getting a day off and what they earned in tips rather then joking with the customers.

This is the kind of place where I would bring my own crowd to watch a sports event on one of the many televisions screens they have and drink beer. A great place to hang out if you can't decide or agree on what you want to do or where you want to go.

Watch out, the Hours in the resturant are different then the hours at the bar which is across the hallway. Parking was bad because it looks like they are trying to reconstruct a larger parking lot.

They had 4 beers on tap, Sam Adams, Angel City, Miller Lite and something I never heard of. The Bottle Beer is Microbrew friendly with Amestal, Corona, Sierra Nevada and more. It is a bit high priced at $5 a pint for Angel City.

I ordered the Macaroni and Cheese but had to send it back because they put bacon it in and I can't eat bacon.

They service was ok whey I could get the bartenders attention. There is only one bartender and it tends to get crowded as people start to wait for thier train connections.

Okay I have been crusing the MicroBrew Circut of Los Angeles lately and this place has come across as a great mini corporate place.

The Atmosphere was good. The old wearhouse look with the open ceilings. Parking is across the street in a public parking area. The Patio is positioned wierd in an alley way but thats how old town Pasadena is set up.

The Food was way over priced for what it was. I think they over charge on the food to make up for the Happy Hour beer prices. I had the Smoked Salmone with Cream Cheese. It should have been served with rice as sushi instead of salad. I had to ask for wasabi to give it some flavor.

Ok Now the Beers which is what I normally go for. They had Four MicroBrews on the Menu but only Three on tap. They don't have Pale Ale's so if thats what your into don't bother coming down to this pub. They were out of the ESB so I had the Amber and the Stout. I am not into Heifewiez. The Amber was Excellent. The Happy Hour Prices were great only $1.75 per beer.

The Service Was Great. I got there at 4:00P.M. and the bar was ebpty. I got everyone helping me personally. The Bartender was great guy. The Host even pitched in to get my food mostly cause I think he was bored. The place started to fill up around 5:00P.M. but the waitresses seemed nice.

First of all the best parking I have ever seen so far for a bar. Plenty of parking between Nielson Way & Main Street.

This bar is a typical Santa Monica Store front Bar. Much more room then Father's Office and less crowded during Happy Hour. Its a yuppie bar, not like the Daly Pint which was a working mans bar.

This is an Amber Beer Paradise. This pub does not have any original beers but has plenty of Keged Micro Brews. They Have 30 microbrews on tap. I had Mad River Red and Pale Ale, Red Sail Amber, and Hemp Ale on tap. The beers are typically high price for a pint but typical for Santa Monica ($5.00/pint).

I saw the guy next to me order the Jamacan Jerk Chicken. It didn't look as appetizing as the Jerk Chicken at the Red Car Brewery in Torrance so I ordered the D's Fried Chicken. It was decent but I love the mashed potatoes. It was a limited menu but the Steak looked good. The mountain of guacamole with the chips looked good also. It was a very expensive dinner menu which was a turn off to me cause the pints were over price also. Then menu was limited for someplace that was trying to act very classey. After all they have a bar two doors down (north).

They had a guy Bartender named BJ. He was so busy hangint with the regulars talking about his work out he decided to avoid the 3 single dudes at the bar. He was more interested in hitting on the women then trying to explain the beers.

There were plenty of couples in this bar and it had a romantic patio in the back. The neighborhood was nice.

I don't think I am going back because it was over priced. I like the atmosphere if I had a date but still wouldn't take her here because its overpriced. The overprice is the only thing holding me back from giving overall Great Review. BJ was a nice bartender but didn't have it down after two years there. He should pay attention to the new customers giving reviews as the regulars.

I am a working class person into good beers. I expect to get treated as a regular my first time in a pub. If I didn't have pub experience I would have given the pub a horrible review.

They have pretty good kegs of beer on tap such as Anderson Valley and Blue Moon. They have many other Irish and English beers on tap that I have never heard of. The selection is good but I was interested in microbrews.

The bad thing about this place again is the parking. North of Pico was fine but South of Pico was permet parking. Parking on Pico is metered so watch out. Also there is no food service at this bar. If your hungry you have to walk to Gilberts Resturant a couple of streets east of Pico.

The Service was nice from the Blonde Lady bartender with the British Accent. The regulars were pretty nice trying to me but couldn't control themselves when a nice looking women walked in.

They should rename the microbrewery WaterWorld Brewery instead of WestWood Brewery. Let's start with I came in 6:30P.M. on a Friday night.

I can understand why the other reviewers issues because as I sat down at the bar someone came over my shoulder and started to complain they had been sitting at a table by the door and the waitress kept ignoring them so he came up to order at the bar. The Bartender gave him his two beers on the house for the problem. While I was sitting there I got wonderful service from a Bartender that looked like Jamie Lee Curtis with long hair. It was pretty crowded with the UCLA regulars but they had time to make sure I had what I wanted. They were running around a bit much and didn't have time to get very personable with a single guy at the bar.

Now lets talk about the HORRIBLE beer. I go to microbrewery's for the beer. They were down to Blonde, Red, Heifewiezen and Dark. I asked the bartender for a sampler. She said she didn't have any but asked me what I wanted to try. He then poured out a shot size dark into a warm pint glass. First of all I drink from light to dark second of all I like a cold mug. Well anyway he did that for the four he had on tap. I don't know what kind of water the were using but the Dark and the Blonde tasted like it was brewed and they added water in it to try to strech out to batched cause it tasted awful weak. The best way I can descibe it is water with beer flavoring added. The Red was all Skanked up. The Red made me gag and I love red beers. It had a harse chemical after taste to it like someone forgot to rinse out the sanitizing solution. I had to send it back and the bartender sipped it and said thats how it always tasted. When I looked on the menu I noticed they had crossed off Samplers and they didn't have the IPA or Scotch Ale brewed this night. Hmmm how interesting are thier Tanks ok?

Ok now I get to the food. I ordered Chicken Soft Tacos from an overpriced menu. I go to bite into one and water and grease come pouring out the back end. I don't know what they was the salad in but the forgot to shake it dry before the put it on the tacos. I had water all over my plate by the end of the 2nd taco. It was to spicey I would never order it again.

Again like downtown the parking is terrible. You have to walk blocks if you get lucky enough to find street parking or pay over priced parking lots.

I put this in the category of bad brewerys that I wouldn't recommend. I even like California Brewery in Alhambra better then this place. If I had my choice I would stick with the beach brewery's(manhatten, redondo) or Red Car Brewery in Torrance.

A bit small can get crowded easily. Has few (like 15-20) taps but beer microbrews are great on tap. The beers they have regularly are Guiness, Red Hook & Firestone.

The food is really good. You order off artistic menu off the wall. They art work on this chalkboard menu is really good and changes as the orders change.

The Juke box is the best I have ever seen in a bar. It pulls songs off the internet.

The best thing I like about this place is the Bartenders. There is a shift of 3 they work all different days and differents shifts. I call them two hotties and a nottie. The first bartender I met there was a heavey set lady with a butch hair cut. She is the nicest out of the 3 she has a great personality that makes everyone in the bar laugh. Then there is a bartender guy there that looks like a like a typical dock worker from New York all buff out guy. He is really a good sports buff he is definatly a girl magnet. I save the hottie for last. She is the Skinniest Bartender I have ever seen. She looks hot and when you first meet her the attitude comes with it but she is really cool when she gets to know you. I can't believe someone that skinny looks so good. All these bartender have the best attitude I have ever seen even when they are busy they get back to you and chat with you even if you are a stranger. They do talk to the regualars a bit more but if you come up with a good conversation you will fit right in.

I don't know why I ended up here with all the bad reviews that I read about this place. I think it was because my friend dragged me here.

I don't know why they put a guy at the front door. He lets everyone in anyway. It is very overcrowded. This place fits 75 comfortably. They like to let 100-120 people in at 6:30 on a Saturday night.

The service really sucks. You have to fight your way thru the crowd to order from the bar in the back. They give you a to go number then you have to hover over people waiting for them to leave so you can have a table to sit and eat at. They had 3 bus boys that looked smart enough to be waiters. Things would go a lot smoother if they took orders instead of fighting with you to take your pint that you only 3/4 finished. It was surprising to see so many good looking women at this bar. This bar isn't set up for single people cause if you have to get up to get a 2nd beer you loose your seat.

The food is very limited but they have really good sweet potato french fries.

They have a pretty good selection of beers on tap. I would say about 25-30 taps. I don't know who chooses the beers that go on tap but if its the same people that set up the ordering system they are in big trouble. The honey blonde tasted kind of stale. I had better honey blondes at the yard house in long beach.

I think the only reason why they are in buisness is because of the location. Montana Ave is a street that divides the rich Santa Monica People from the poor. I got an attitude from the crowd if its on Montana Ave it must be good. They don't know what a good bar is.

The bar had a very white YUPPIE crowd. The homemade beers are excellent the way breweries should make them. They have two menus Lunch & Dinner. Lunch one looked better and had better prices. Only thing missing on menu is need more meat items like steaks. I think because they have an awesome view of the beach they went heavy on the fish menu.

Parking was a little tricky for a first timer there. I parked at the meter parking off Olympic & Ocean and walked 2 blocks. I found Yankee Doodles on my way over to the BBC.

The Beers are very delicious. You could taste the strawberries in the strawberry blonde. Top Sail was my favorite it is a great amber ale with full body flavor but not over the top.

The french onion soup is delicious. It was Danny the bartenders birthday and he was having a great time. Heather was very cute. The staff was great they made sure I had everything I needed and more. I didn't have to ask for anything they took care of me even though I dressed like a bum.

Food isn't that great but there are enough resturant within walking distance to get a good meal then come back for a good beer.

Beware of parking in the beach parking lots it can get expensive and this bar is on the lower level where there is NO view of the beach.

Establishment: Sierra Madre Brewing Company, Sierra Madre, CA

This place is in a nice neighborhood where everyone says hello to each other. The only problem is I traveled 45 minutes to get to this place only to find out they have the most wierd hours for a microbrewery.

Beware of the hours of this place: Monday - closed all day Tuesday - NO LUNCH opens 4:00PM-10:00PM Wednesday-NO LUNCH opens 4:00PM-10:00PM Thursday - 11:30AM-10:00PM Friday/Saturday - 11:00AM-11:00PM Sunday - Lunches if Games on otherewise 4:00PM-10:00PM

They must be rich to close during 1/2 the week. Loved the neighborhood. If you walk two blocks off the corner its on you can park as long as you want.

Not far from Santa Anita Horse Race Track. I might try to stop there again if I plan a day at the Races but in the mean time please be aware of the hours

Good Lousy Awesome! Great Good

Establishment: California Brewing Company, Alhambra, CA

This Brewery is on the verge of having some real potential. Its located in a part of Alhambra the looks like it could be the next Old Town Pasadena, Third Street Promenade(Santa Monica), or Melrose Ave.(Hollywood).

The brewery is very bright and open. It even has a patio for smokers. Really cool atmosphere!!! The waitresses were kinda busy during the lunch hour rush but very helpful. They would help cover each others tables if you needed something. Nancy the head Waitress/Manager/Bartender was the hottest looking Asian Lady I have ever seen running a bar. Watching her take care of things made up for the bad beer.

I'm sorry to say for a brewery the beer selection was horrible. They only had 3 homebrews on tap. They had thier version of a Blonde, a Nearly Pale Ale, and finally a Wheat Beer. For as many tanks as they had I can't believe they don't have a better selection. I don't know what thier Master Brewer is thinking. The Blonde was very water downed one of the worst Blonde Beers I have ever had. It tasted like Coors Light (not knocking Coors Light but just tasted water down). The Pale Ale was much better and had some butterscotch flavor but as a microbeer drinker I was very disappointed on this beer. I did not even attempt to drink a Wheat as I am not a fan of Wheat Beers even when the house has some delicious Pale Ale's.

This brewery has the best menu I have ever scene in a brewery. They have 4 different versions of buffalo wings, from Hot & Spicy to Terriakee(sp?) Flavor. The menu has great ranges of Fish, Chicken and Beef Dishes. They have Chicken Sandwiches and Tri Tip. They even have some Hawaiin Style Burgers & Chcicken Sandwiches. The Selection was so varied it was hard to choose what to try.

I hope they get a Good Master Brewer soon cause I really liked the waitresses. Not cause they were cute but cause they were very nice. If they had great beer I would move in there to live.

Awesome! Great Lousy Lousy Good

Establishment: Bonaventure Brewing Company, Los Angeles, CA

I found this place because of PubCrawler.com. I hung out there from 3:30P.M. to 6:00P.M. on a Tuesday cause I am unemployed and my interviews were over for the day.

Parking in Downtown L.A. is terrible around this resturant. You're better off taking public transportation not only for the drinking & driving laws but because the parking is very bad to this location at the Bonaventure Hotel. The outdoor elevators are worth the ride to the top floor.

When I found this place my first impressions was oooo a classey place. Looking around at 3:30pm there was more staff (2-bartenders, 1-barback, 4-waitresses) then (2) customers which I thought was kind of odd seeing they had been open since lunch in the middle of a busy hotel. They have an outdoor patio where you can see the brewhouse while you sit and drink.

I belly up to the bar and order a sampler and a menu. I got the coldest reception from a bartender I have ever gotten in the last 20 years of hanging out in bars. Handed me the sampler with no explination of what each one was. I kind of knew the basics Pales, Amber/Red's, Stouts but each bar calls it something different. When I asked the bartender what the difference was between what looked like Ambers he told me there all listed on the bottom of the tray and turned his back on me and started a conversation with the waitresses. I had to remind him I wanted a menu.

The beers are just my speed the sampler they gave me had a Strawberry Blonde, Blonde, Pale Ale, Stout and Flavor of the Month. I was going to ask the bartender what the Flavor of the Month was but he was having to much fun ignoring me and hanging out with the waitresses.

The Strawberry Blonde was tastey I thought it was more for people who drink light beers. I thought it was a toss up between the Blonde and the Pale Ale for which one tasted the best. I thought this brewery's Blonde & Pale Ale have the potential of winning some local brewery contests. The Stout was decent as most stouts I have tasted seemed a bit watered down, I was looking for something with a little thicker flavor like coffee or chocolate.

As the afternoon wore on I realized why the staff was so snobby. It was because the buisness crowd started to roll in mostly lawyer and banker types. I finally got some nachos off the very limited menu. For a bar this fancy you would think they would have a better food selection. If it wasn't for the other resturants in the mall area of the Bonaventure I probably would have starved.

I can't see anybody being a regular at this bar. The only thing I can recommend about this place is if your in the neighborhood stop by for some good beer but bring a friend to talk to you. I enjoyed myself better at The Red Car Brewery in Torrance.

The Beers are perfect for a MicroBrew. They may not always have what your looking for in stock. The Hefewiez was out the 1st time I went and the Dark was out the 2nd time.

The food is delicious and way better then most bar food I have eaten. They still need something more original that stands out and makes you want to try it on the menu, something unique.

The Service and customers are great. The Bartenders are very friendly. The waitresses are quiet but thier looks make up for it. Seems like they only hire Hotties. You can always find someone to strike up a conversation with.

The Atmosphere is great. Old tavern look with tables and patio outside for smokers.

This place is definatly hang out worthy. Wished closer to the beach in the sun.

Establishment: Red Car Brewery and Restaurant, Torrance, CA

I love the atmosphere of this place!!! It was an old AT&T switching house that was also a Barn for the old Los Angeles Red Car.

The Service of this place was great!! The servers were very nice and the owner made us laugh while he brewed a new batch of beer. I expected a more stuffy staff being in the South Bay but to my surprise I had a great time.

When I was there they had 5 homebrews on tap. The ElectroLight was a bit weak. The Wheat was average (I'm not a wheat drinker though). I liked the IPA but it seemed a bit strong for a IPA almost like a nighttrain of beers, it had a kick so I would say it was above average. The Pale Ale and the Red were very tastey and made it my favorites. The Red & Pale Ale weren't award winning tastey but brewery worthy. The Red was my choice of the better beer. The Color of the Red almost made it looked like a Brown but with the light taste of a Red.

This Brewery needs work on thier menu. I would have liked to see something more then the standard Buffalo Wings & Burgers. The best thing on the menu was Jamacan Jerk Chicken but a bit pricey. The beer complimented the meal well but I think they may need a graduate chef from a culinary school to help come up with some new ideas.

This is a great place to start if your going on the Brewery tour of Los Angeles!!!!

Strangest bar I have ever been in. The location is kind of ackward. In a typical neighborhood. No host when I walked in couldn't find a seat upstairs so had to sit in back downstairs.

The Rat Tail Red was better then the Blonde Pale Ale. The food was ok for bar food. Nothing stood out at me had to study the menu for hours until I could find something I thought might suit my appitite to go with the Beer.

The bartenders (seem like ex-bouncers) and waitress going thru the motions don't make you feel like your at a fun place. The locals seem snobby and not to helpful on which beers to try.

Establishment: Manhattan Beach Brewing Company, Manhattan Beach, CA

Great location 1/2 block from the pier overlooking pacific ocean. Parking is hard to find and expensive when you can get it because your fighting the beach crowd. The atmosphere is great but small. They have great mirrors on the walls and you can always catch a great sports game on.

The beer is pretty tastey the blonde pale ale is worth the medium price range. The Red Beer has a nice flavor too. The food is pretty good above average for bar food but needs something more original on menu then same old bar food.

I wouldn't say the service is mean. They get you what ever you need but it seems like they are just going to work. They don't make you feel like your part of the bar family while you are there.

I personally like thier Pale Ale they call a Blonde Beer. The selection was limited but the microbrews are above average for microbrewery.

The food was somewhat the same as any bar but I loved their beer bread which is made from the leftover barely and hops from makeing the beer.

The service was really good but can get busy. The atmosphere is strange cause its upstairs its great view overlooking the street if you can get a seat along the rail. Its not a great place to people watch.

Establishment: Crown City Brewery, Pasadena, CA

Heard about this place after watching the DooDah Parade in Pasadena. Atmosphere is great, the people that work there are cool. You must have to be drunk and starving to eat here on a regular basis they need a chef big time.

The beer selection is pretty decent. Their homebrews taste pretty good but award winning. The great gimmick they have to keep people coming back is a passport arond the world. If you drink 100 beers (not all at once) you get a free shirt and your name on a plaque on the wall. If not for anything else its great for people who are interested in tasting different varieties of beers from around the world and at least your get a free shirt out of it.
